Not true, starting a project is not limited to the period actual construction start. What about planning, designing, and funding? The Obasanjo administration set the tone for the project, he was the one that conceptualized and seek funds from China for the modernization of Nigeria's rail system, It is a 25 years plan.

You are making mistake, OBJ started Lagos-Ibadan Expressway but OBJ, Yar Adua and GEJ never completed it but PMB will complete it by God's grace, PMB started and completed Lagos=Ibadan rail project.

This is true. Even though the project had been in the talks since 2006, work was started on it under President Buhari's regime. The unwillingness of other regimes to increase Nigeria's debt profile needlessly contributed to the delay.

Who could forget the public outrage at the proposed $1.5bn loan gotten from China for this project despite Nigeria's enormous debt profile then? The fact that the railway failed to be delivered on December 2018 as agreed even made the outrage worse.

Better late than never, I guess.

I am not his supporter but I must say what I know about this one.

PDP stole and looted, that was all they did, this particular looted and shared money for our troops by GEJ and his looting gang was enough to build 2 Lagos Ibadan railway without borrowing 1 kobo from China.
