Lala, a correction to the above. She was referring to two persons in the writeup. Yes, the part 2 was for the Emezi person as tweets point to that (from the latter person) and the part one was for someone else. The part 3 I guess is general.

This is one thing about identity politics. Happened to J.K. Rowlings and now, CNA is being hounded for it too.

themonk:

Lalasticlala did you see any single place in the write-up that Chimamanda mentioned Akwaeke’s name?

You guys need to be careful with reporting, even though we know she is probably talking about her, headlines like this open up Nairaland to a lawsuit. Chimamanda intentionally removed the name of the person she is addressing while your headline suggests otherwise.

Seun Mynd44
He must have taken the heading from the first link. Of course, CNA never mentioned anyone but if anyone should be blamed, it should be LifeStyle Cable.

Karlirk:
Chimamanda went too low on this.

She should learn how to issue a press statement (and nothing more) to address any defamation that harms her personality.

Besides, young people need support and it is quite dishonest of her to describe same young people she is trying help through her workshop as people who always want to benefit from her.

She must bear in mind she too that she had at, one time, clung to people for the sole purpose of benefitting from them.

Now, a big question: Who does she accept in her circle. Can she accept and entertain a feminist from a financially unstable background like she did to the friend in her write-up?

In the end, everybody is a hypocrite.

Everything is not about beautiful writing.
Visit CNA's link itself. She never mentioned anyone. The first link made the assumption and not CNA.

Relating with a transgender is a huge risk, it is relating with people who are unsure of their identity, rebelious to the natural laws of the Creator and creation and are utmostly insecure to the core why wouldn't you expect to be rebelled against.
Transgenders are opportunists, why wouldn't you be expectant of being taken advantage of?

Transgenders are uncomfortable of their originality and are perennial patients of the inferiority syndrome complex, what were you really expecting from someone who isn't grateful or contented with their natural identity by making them members of your inner circle?

My dear, I read this post on Twitter this morning and I didn't know who she was referring to cause she used "X" instead of the person's name.

But trust Nairalanders with no sense of decorum and ethics.

You choose a path or way of life and expect everyone to approve of it, no dear it doesn’t work that way. I stand with Chimamanda.

Young people should be careful, someone took you in and pointed you on the path of success and you turn around to bite the finger that fed you. It’s unfortunate. She will need to work so hard, to steady her career, she was adviced foolishly unfortunate.

For those who do not know,

Feminists always have an issue with transgenders. It didn't start with Chimamanda.

They would, because transgenders are neither here not there.

Moreover, both transgenders and feminists are products of this over pampered and over indulged modern society, and like many other moral aberrations all over the world, they therefore need only our minor attention.

We are more enlightened having her/him/x name mentioned.

So keep your biff to yourself, unless she/he/x is your kin.

She is the one. Akwa eke is the one. Everyone knows it.

But to be honest I don't even give a shit about her write up. I wasted my time reading it. Why didn't she just set the record straight and keep quiet? Why all these stories?

It seems there is a vital appendage of the brain connected to the breast. Having diced her own, Emezi is beginning to feel the psychotic implication. Can't someone have a different and opposite position on trans? We mustn't be in apposition on a particular issue, as long as my position is not criminal.

U can't satisfy this lot of people...my politically incorrect opinion. I shall continue to fail to address them/it/ they. Odiegwu.

N yes this is one reason I'm unapologetically Christian. We supported fornication till it became a new norm, then cohabiting before marriage, then baby mama's malaise, then homosexuality and now this. No thanks, ill pass. Christianity helps keep me in check. Thank You Jesus.
