Good day everyone, Its been a while! Please I want to know how to clean the plastic manifold of M52 engine of a BMW. The vent and the vacuum side of the manifold is blocked with oil mud (if there is anything like that). Then the engine consume fuel as camel to water. Could that be the reason?

It was blocked and I removed it long ago since a mecho told me it doesnot cause any issue on the car

Haaa OMG!!!! That means I have to get another one and that is f**king expensive. But what about the mudding sticken brown oil in the injector manifold? could that be the cause too?

Story, the only purpose of having a catalyst is to clean your exhust fumes and further enable you pass emissions test. Ie in foreign countries.
Removing your catalyst even gives you advaragely 5% better milage. You also get better performance and a nice sounding car.

But what could be responsible for the fuel consuming nature of m52 engine?

Several, o2 sensor, mass air flow, clogged injectors etc, air filters, air leaks, worn plugs etc.

Also if you still have concerns about removal of catalyst throwing a o2 fault code you way get o2 sensor spacers with inbuilt mini catalyst. That sorts out your error code or wrong o2 sensor reading.
