What Investment Can One Do With 10million Naira In Nigeria? by Nobody: 9:09pm On Jun 18, 2021
I am not business inclined.
I have never done any business.
I finished school and got a job in one of the leading banks in the country but it seems like I haven't made much progress especially financially.
Managing peoples account made me realize that some people are actually doing well business wise so I decided to ask my brother for some money to start up a business, but the only snag i hit is that I have unsuccessfully come up with what I would want to venture into after over a week of in depth reasonings.

Please, I am from the dot Nation and would love reasonable contributions on what I can do with 10million naira that would be productive especially in the dot region.
For children of hate that are already showing up, pls u must not comment u hear? It is my decision what to do with the money, any business that involves crossing the eastern states is not welcomed.

Pls, biko , any selected idea may require me to engage the poster/advisor.

Boss...there is no uber in the south east. Just bolt. I already asked. Then the drivers don't make what they used to make according to drivers opinion. Which is a little bit discouraging.
Then how did ikorodu enter ur post na? Lol.
Car wash sounds great but not lucrative.

I'd advise you to look though your current customer base at your current job right now, check your successful customers and what they do, you could also find some tangible ideas from within. You could even engage them to give you a few pointers on how to start should you find one or two reasonable businesses you're interested in.

Also, I'm not sure how the dot region is, but I'm sure everywhere in Nigeria still has construction and development ongoing. You could buy a tipper and supply sand and stones to sites.

You can startup a fintech platform and be earning hugely as most banks are overcrowded these period due to covid 19 guidelines and many persons are embracing the fintech space in Nigeria.
Although, I don't know your current location, however, Food is constantly essential. You can rent a shop and startup a restaurant, do some billboard advert and can as well digitalize it by creating a website and/or app where people can order and get the food delivered at their doorstep.
You can as well open a bakery. Here in my area, there is only one bakery and the area has a population of thousands of inhabitants and hundreds of shops. You can as well startup yours after doing a market research in your area and employ professional bakers and do your own unique style of baking the bread and do home delivery and you can add ice cream and as well digitalize it to ease the business for you. You can also open a grocery shop. You will do your research and buy your farm produces from places in Nigeria where you can get it very cheap. You can as well digitalize for larger audience with a well packaged branding and start making sales.
Your capital is also a good one for starting up an online lending business with very low risk having an automated web application for the business and getting your desired return on investment monthly.
You can also startup a food processing business and start with frozen food production. You can also start a private refinery business by starting up a kerosene depot. it's in high demand these period we are.
Importation is also a good one, you can start with importation of phones. Create an online platform for it to create more awareness, then rent an office and you're good to go.
Lastly, you can also open outlets in any hot selling landmarks(Most especially markets places) in your area and start up a standard and corporate thrift contribution company, commonly called "Ajo" or "Esusu" You will employ professional marketers/workers whom will be well dressed in branded wears and they will go about the area or market and convince business men/women to start saving in your company and you will offer them different savings packages and they will definitely be turn up as i have personally not seen any corporate Ajo company in Nigeria!.

If you need more business ideas, brainstorming section, market research and business development, kindly mail me via nairaland.

Best regards.

Reason why I laugh at people shouting start a business. Most people doing well in business are fronting it. They have shady secret they won't tell. Nigeria isn't favorable for legit hussler.

Venture into a partnership business as a key distributor with an indigenous manufacturing company, that is into fmcg. A double concentrated tomato paste that has a good ROI and with a good market share, will not be a bad idea to invest in. Invest wisely.

This is not true. There are lots of people doing well in genuine businesses without shady secret in Nigeria. The growing businesses may not tell their business secret to avoid loosing out to competitors.

While asking questions here is okay, one needs special ability to be able to discern scammers. Majority of the active business guys the op wish to tap ideas from do not have the luxury of time to be on Nairaland. Instead they concentrate all their efforts in making the businesses grow.

One is likely to see more investors and passive business men more here. It is also easier to pick business ideas from stories and discussions silently when you have not drop any amount on the table. Once you mention that you have money here, the next thing will be all manner people trying to scam you.

I do not see any reason why the op will say he want a business he can do and some one will say he want to help him manager the money. When he did not ask for a money manager. Even those that will say they want to partner with him. If there don't have any idea for him as required why not pass over the thread ?
