PDP Has Rejected Atiku's 2023 Bid - Deji Adeyanju by aminulive(op): 11:24am On Jun 23, 2021
Activist, Deji Adeyanju has weighed in on a brewing crisis in the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Adeyanju, who is also a former spokesman of the party, disclosed that certain elements of the party are not in support of former vice president, Atiku Abubakar’s bid to contest for the party’s ticket again in 2023.

He revealed that Sokoto state governor, Aminu Tambuwal and Bauchi state governor, Bala Mohammed are the two politicians currently being considered for the party’s 2023 presidential ticket.

He wrote on social media; “PDP stakeholders want to present Tambuwal or Bala Mohd both serving Govs as presidential candidate & someone from South as VP in 2023.”

“They say everybody is tired of the Dubai man with dollars. Why won’t you guys present him now? I want to see you guys in opposition for 16yrs.”

“Many of them are so pained the man abandoned their party after election & relocated to Dubai for 2yrs but is now back to start campaign for another ticket. The only way PDP can get real sense is if they spend 16yrs in opposition. APC should present an acceptable candidate in 2023.”

“Another calculation is that if APC gives GEJ ticket for just 4yrs, Bala Mohd and some PDP governors will defect with him and the PDP might become empty but the law has technically barred Jonathan from contesting next election.”

Interestingly Nice to know...they should disqualify those other people mentioned if they want to be taken seriously.
@fahdiga1 up there what we need is a young visionary leader with a high level of empathy irrespective of regional affiliation.

PDP & APC are a disgrace based on their past & present leadership antecedents. They are all shaken from the #ENDSARS protests that took the FG by surprise and abruptly brought an end to the rising atrocities of the SARS division of NPF.
They should also be expecting this once a young visionary aspirant comes out or shows up, and there are plans by some Political Young Class to achieve this reason there are political actors in YDP.
The new normal is an emphatic NO more recycling of old greedy cohorts of political actors!

Come 2023 we youths must create a paradigm shift for better leaders.

huh

The Dubai man with lots of dollars. I like the sound of that.

The architecture and the infrastructure of the entity called Nigeria has forever favored a certain group of elites to remain in power. That's the sad fact and they just keep building on that legacy.

Atiku should go and sit down. He already lost his chance of becoming President in the build up to 2003 presidential election when most governors and senators were routing for him against Obasanjo.

To PDP, south East is only good for testing failed political experiments( Ugwuanyi, Ikpeazu and co).
They(PDP) will never consider the east for their presidential ticket, but my people are always satisfied with every decision as long as it's coming from PDP.

Be it as it may be, if PDP hands Gowon their presidential ticket for 2023 general election, Igbos will Support him wholeheartedly.

Atiku is an unelectable candidate and we've been telling them since 2019 but they were too busy looking for a server result that never went missing. Good morning Deji.

Tambuwal/Wike are the best choice for PDP Ticket if they really want to stand a chance in 2023...

Otherwise its an automatic walkover for APC/Tinubu /Osibanjo cool

God bless Nigeria.

Must PDP serve the North forever, after all the noise, nobody from the South is qualified.

SE on one chance again, but they will still support blindly.
