I don't know how many young/little Ronaldo's I've heard about, but I've heard many of little Messi.. Players who are nothing more than goal scorers or those with pace model after Ronaldo, but players with football intelligence and players who are seen as best in their various teams model after Messi.. Footballers of our generation spend time on the social media, they watch Ronaldo's routines(cos he posts them a lot), how he trains, how he stays fit.. But it takes real genius to be a "Messi" and I don't think such can be uploaded online

We can easily idolise who we wish to idolise, who you idolise doesn't assure your success, though it influences it.. How many players idolised Pele and became world best? How many idolised Maradona? Even Messi never idolised any of those.. Even though he played like Maradona at a very tender age, he idolised Aimar who wasn't as good as Maradona.. Messi idolised Aimar, but the coaches who saw him play said "that kid plays like Maradona"... The fact that you're being idolised doesn't make you the best, but the fact that every football school sits their players down and teach them how to play like Messi and teach defenders how to defend a player who plays like Messi means a lot
