A Nigerian woman, Ladunni Idowu Giwa-Osagie has welcomed her first child at almost the age of 50, IgbereTV reports.

Ladun met her husband, Aigbovo-Giwa-Osagie when she turned 47, they got married at 48, she became pregnant at 49 and on June 25th, 2021, just before her 50th birthday, she gave birth to a baby boy named Osarumuwese Oluwaseyitanfunmi Nosakhare.

it's not yoruba name that's bini name and the full name is Nosakhare-Oorode which means What God says is the right.

The name is not Yoruba but Benin and it means God's Will.

Still doesn't negate the fact that the older a woman gets, the riskier it is to give birth or the smaller the chance to reproduce...as men we can't afford to be delusional..we deal in probabilities not possibilities...isn't it better to have kids when u are young and fertile? Instead of having when older and hoping on miracles and depending on statistical anomalies such as this old woman's case
