The UCL that you say Kroos won, he got injured in the 1st leg of the quarterfinals against Juve....infact he got injured in the 16th minute of the first half....and he would not play football again for the rest of the season.

So man missed out on half the 1st half of the first leg of qf, missed all the 2nd half, missed the whole return leg, missed 2 legs of semifinals and missed the whole finals.

Kroos was fortunate to be playing with some of the greatest footballers in the history of the game.

Look at some of the UCLs that were won by Kroos, and you will see that certain players individually won those tournaments for Madrid. Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos and Bale in particular.

Morata too will be shouting his a two time UCL winner with Madrid, and his great grandkids might not realise that he won those as an attache to the greatest striker of the modern era

If you wanna give a coach accolades for developing a national team, you look at the players from his club that are mainstays in the team. Just 1 or two players doesn't cut it.

If it's 2010 world cup win, I can give pep that one cos of xavi iniesta busquet pique puyol. And also how they played. That one is great.

I think you've missed my point completely and are arguing something else.

I said Kroos is not good enough to summarily dismiss Rice in a discussion about DMs. It's not the blowout comparison that swiz123 and later capaldi were attempting to make on the basis of his trophy count, many of which were won by with very little direct impact from Kroos. Case in Point, Capaldi came and said who can we say Kroos should do it without Ronaldo, when he won UCL with Bayer...only for me to point out that Kroos didnt play after round of 16 for Bayern in the UCL that he 'won'

This not to say Kroos is a carry along in the ibime sense of the phrase, and that has not been my POV. The biggest thing Kroos fans can use to defend their man is his trophy wins, and I have proven that many of those trophies were won inspite of him. So if you want to make an argument that Kroos blows Rice out of the water, use his individual performance and let's see, but all that UCL/WC winner nonsense wont fly here.
