hensben:What has he done to prove he’s too good to be loaned? KDB was good, got benched and later sent packing, he became too good, switched to ManCity and Chelsea still won Ucl before and against them. Nothing will happen if Fraudvertz leave Chelsea. |

Jodera:His fanboiz should respect British players working their a$$ out to take Chelsea to the next level, they should stop discrediting them and hyping German frauds because of price tag. |

omotola90:It is obvious that he is an intelligent player, but sluggishness will not cut it. How can you as a midfielder execute what you have in mind when before you trap the and turn the opponent already has it? The midfield is where every every happens, and the opposition is upon you from all angle. Any player in the midfield should have the sharpness to quickly turn away from opponents and quickly make something happen, not before you trap ball, dem don collect am. E no go work nah, especially in epl where the intensity is high. |

Greatihex:He needs to be isolated upfront as a striker where he will get the space to do all these |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Capaldi: 10:52pm On Jul 01, 2021 |
Next season will be an important season for Havertz in defining the role and type of player he ultimately becomes. Will be interesting to see if Tuchel continues to mould and further develop him as a striker. For me at this point in time, I still see him as a hybrid between 9 and 10 positions. Probably siding on being more of a 10, but can play as striker if the need is there due to the gift of height and finesse. He's not quite the full striker package yet. He has certain elements already, both natural and skill set wise. But is still lacking in other areas and can further improve. If he were to continue to become a bonafide striker position then I'd like to see him work on some strength, shooting, aerial heading. Also some instinctual elements like shaking off the timidness at times and play with more swagger. |

| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m): 10:57pm On Jul 01, 2021 |
Capaldi:He is a better striker than a midfielder at this stage. Whatever improvement you think he needs to make as a striker, he needs double that to be a midfielder. I actually think he is a good striker already. I saw some high balls come into him and I was expecting defender to flatten him and head it out, but time after time, he managed to get some good flick ons. He can run in behind, he can drop deep. He can't dribble but he can travel ok with the ball. Most importantly, he has composure to place his shot. I like strikers who don't just blast the ball but pick their spot. Iheanacho and Van Persie come to mind. They even have similar build, all left footed and all are converted midfielders. Let's not forget the ultimate converted midfielder - Lewandowski. |

Greatihex:how will you rate his gameplay In EPL last season? Now,like I said, stamina wise he's not there for now... He needs to work more on this. A player who knows how to read a game, understand better positioning and ability to switch play should be praised every time... That guy is a talent in football... I saw a skinny dude in champions League against our Almighty ramos 'baba'... I was wowed by his gameplay... Thanks for admitting his sluggishness though... This is his first season in Epl and a goal in the Almighty champions League final... I greet every Chelsea fan congratulations for getting that lad |

| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Havertz10: 11:15pm On Jul 01, 2021 |
All these people talking about havertz countenance and posture it's the way he is, he might appear uninterested but he is very much in the game, against England he was arguably the best player on the pitch and he was as casual as always, havertz never stands in one place, against England he kept moving into pocket of space everytime, spacial awareness, look at the chance he made for timo, he got into that space and before they could get close to him, he created that chance, that's havertz havertz doesn't stay in one place, he is always moving into space, always looking to create play and takes advantage of any situation, I think his personality deceives people that are sold on brute force players As for those suggesting he bulks up, later una go dey follow people argue, you don't know that for every pound a player adds, it increases his tendency to be injured and limits his speed Donstan10 you said that we should loan out havertz and play mount that has 3 assist in 70 games as a 10, I drag mount but i'm always talking from a point of reason, I state his failings, your own is to just blab anything because you no get case, you are an agenda vehicle to promote sentiments I hope the people that are taking you serious, know your track record of poor judgements, what did you say about tuchel? What did you say about Lampard? Propaganda Sheep, I have told you, mount will leave that team before havertz, I will be here to watch you shamelessly join a new herd, na here we dey

Ibime:that is where he can make it, but still has some limitations. If we must stick with him as striker, then other attackers will need to step up with their goals contribution for when we meet teams that will seat back. Mount, Pulisic, Ziyech and Werner will really need to do more. 15 goals each from at least two of the above list will solve the problem, but the have not shown to be consistent in supplying the goals. We sincerely lack finishers and real game changers. |

Havertz hardly loses the ball these days, I think that aspect of his game has greatly improved. I don’t think he’s an out and out 9 but he’s intelligent enough to play that |

raumdeuter:Neuer and Giroud have won the CL and World cup too and they are even older than this your useless Boathand, but still called by their countries because they saw they could be useful. Why is it that this calamitous Ghanaian defender, Boathand was sacked by Germany, Ghana and Bayern at 32? ![]()

| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Havertz10: 11:23pm On Jul 01, 2021 |
Almajirihunter:Lampard played him out of position, tuchel corrected that slightly and his game improved I dont know why it's difficult for people to understand that the position he played under Lampard and the position he has played under tuchel is different He has slowly grown back into his rhythm and he peaked at that England game, I don't understand this striker obsession, I feel it's a ploy to accomodate mount because havertz creativity will be better utilized in the midfield with a solid base behind him |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m): 11:29pm On Jul 01, 2021 |
Almajirihunter:Losing the ball depends on the space you receive it in. Like Greatihex rightly pointed out, he doesn't have the sharpness or technique to constantly receive the ball in midfield without losing it but you get more space as a striker without bodies around to where you don't lose the ball as often |

If you think Chelsea shouldn’t sign a quality striker because of two tapins from Fraudvertz in Euro, then you hate Chelsea. I can’t wait for a quality striker to be signed. |

Ibime:I have not noticed the bolded, but I pray that is the case. Trust me, I like that we make what we have to work instead of going to look for what we don't know if it will work. Na so them say Werner go solve our striking problem and here we are discussing Havertz as striker. If Chelsea are not sure to get a complete striker we can keep managing Havertz as striker and see if he can work there. But if they have a good opportunity to land a complete striker, it is best they take the chance. He must not be a known striker. Can't scout's find players with no hype and make them shine? |

| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Greatihex(m): 11:56pm On Jul 01, 2021 |
Almajirihunter:that is because he is not playing in the middle of the park. He only drops into midfield, exchange one or two passes and then makes his run from midfield that usually is difficult for the defenders to track, because they got eyes off him once he drops deep. |
