That's what Belgium failed to do. I was literally screaming that he should be closed down before he scored against them. Anybody that has watched him play knows that he's style of play has always been to cut into the right to curl. Just make sure it doesn't happen and his game is done

We should have long seen this at Chelsea involving hazard and EMERSON but conte and his fellow Italian brother sarri were too foolish to make it work .

It can be Mancini instructions that's blocking Jorginho. This is not how they have been playing all through the tournament. They are given Spain too much respect.

Instructions ko, Donnaruma is looking for passes into the deep midfield position and Jorginho is hiding behind Spanish players, forcing Donnaruma to play long ball. The press is too hot for him. Even Verratti is doing better to open for passing lanes than the midfield fulcrum.

This is what happens when you are a belleface controller and can't spin away from players on your back. When the press is on, you start hiding.

If you can't take the ball with players on your back, you are fake controller. You can see Busquet not afraid to receive ball with players on his back, and that is giving Spain the ball.

The game goes more or less as expected really. Italy midfield struggled against Austria's pressing. No surprise that they just get dominated against the even better pressing by Spain. The only out ball is to hit it long to the channels for Insigne and Chiesa, and Spain looks to have anticipated that as well.

Barella just dey fvck up, Jorginho got into the game later on. Verrati has been solid, showing he is a wise choice instead of lacotteli

Usually it helps with Spinazolli who could carry the ball out from defense. He is a big miss So its up to Chiellini and Bonnuci to build up, BUT this is why Enrique dropped Morata for Olmo who has a much better work rate and is doing a great job at pressuring the Centre backs.

That's why I said Martinez made a big mistake playing 3-4-3 for Belgium against Italy, leaving Jorginho as the spare man which made his fanbois to start making noise here as he was picking up the ball unchallenged at will. Any one knows you put a man on Jorginho, he can't do nothing cos he has never been able to spin away from a man.
