History555:
Fulani are responsible for the high cost of foodstuffs end of story. All these other stories are cover ups, what concerns cbn with grain storage. Do u know how much grains stored get spoilt with time.
[/s]

Most bigots from the south contribution to any discussion starts and stops with Fulani. Nothing sensible to add.

Government should ban export of grains for the time being. This will stem the purchase by foreigners and ensure stability in the market.

There is no dough that opening the border will allow food to come in and the price of food items will automatically come down

Does this government even understand economics at all? Or is there more to this than what we understand? Something is fishy here, I'm beginning to get paranoid.

Whatever you people do ehn sha don't go near Beans and bread cos thats the only natural resource we have to manage. Thanks grin
Unless you are living in the moon currently same beans and bread have become a luxury meal.

A rubber of beans jumped from 700 to 1500 overnight... In fact beans is now more expensive than rice..

Truth is buhari is hear to enrich his northern folks most esp the producers and farmers.

Oga use your two hand cover your mouth.
You don't have to lead always, buhari clearly lacks leadership qualities.
His agendas (if he has any) would have being better implemented and effective if he was a contributor (follower) than a leader.

That he opposes the govt ills doesn't make him a better leader. Them nor dey tell blind man say rain dey fall.

My major concern is that after the mop up most of the foodstuff latter get damaged and unhealthy for consumption after it is later released to the public to buy or as pallatiave or election campaign gift to electorate.

There is nothing this buhari lead gorverment will not do to make sure the poor masses that voted them to power die of hunger. When he first asume office as president, the first thing he did was to close down the borders and ban importation of food items from other country knowing fully well that our agricultural product will not be sufficient for the country, as if that was not enough, his fulani brothers are slughtering farmers and destroying their farm lands yet he says nothing about it, now the litle foods that are produced by farmers that were lucky enough to survive fulani terorist are mopped up by the gorverment so that the poor masses will start eating grass, why is buhari this confused? You refused to sign the anti-open grazing bill yet you said every nigerian should go back to agriculture so that your blood sucking brothers will slaughter us in our farmlands, may God help us in this country. I will rather be a dog in America in my next life than to be a human in Nigeria.
World Food Programme (WFP) and ECOWAS that buy most of the grains are part of Buhari's govt?

All these big grammar to justify the high cost of food.
When Fulani terrorists are killing farmers in their tens, why wouldn’t food prices be high?
Yesterday I bought an arm length size of yam for 1k. New yam is not yet in the market at this time. Everything is fuccking expensive!!
What they are saying isn't just grammar but has a lot of sense. Our problems are largely structural and the ending part of the article says it all.
Fulanis too are part of the problem.

The best way is to ignore them, as you rightly said, they keep blaming fulanis for their own short comings, there is nothing you can do to treat these people from their insanity.

Back to the topic.

Government should have understood the business cycle, you accumulate during abudant harvest season by buying up at least 20% of farmers produce during harvest and then selling them to the people during famine. Panic buying at this moment is bad for the market, the government will eventually lose because you panic buy at a higher price above market price and sell at a loss except maybe they plan to give the accumulated buy ups as donations to the poor masses.
