Agnes Mba is a 9-year-old Ghanaian girl living with disability, but rather than stay home or go out on the street to beg for alms, she determines to pursue education to achieve her dreams.

Agnes has never been able to walk, but she hopes and believes that one day, she will be able to go to school like her friends and schoolmates.

Doctors say a surgery can correct Agnes' condition but her parents cannot afford the money yet, therefore she is yet to go under the knife.

Her mother, Akopoka Abanberinga used to back her to school every day but one day, she got very busy at her farm that she could not take her to school, amazingly Agnes wore her uniform and crawled 1 kilometer to school; to the dismay of the entire community.

Agnes knows that she is not the same with other children in her school, but she does not lead her life as one with a disability. She neither lets it define nor worry her.

According to her teacher, she is a bright pupil who participates in all activities in school.

Agnes crawls to school every day under the hot sun or rain, but she hopes to complete school, then educate others.

Her mother says even though her other children are bright, she is confident that it is Agnes who will be the star of the family.
