KDF conduct joint training with British Army regularly. The British just finished 70M pound barracks in Kenya - and as part of the deal - British Army train 1,000 kenyan soldiers annually

Kenya has always been neutral and we always look for what is mutual interest and benefit. Either bilateral or multilateral - if AU sign - we abide - if UN Sec council say this - we abide by international law. But we are free to make out own bilateral agreements.

British and Kenya signed a deal to allow British soldiers to be trained in Kenya - that partnership helps the local economy and most importantly kenya troops get to train with one of the best armies of the world.

Down in Lamu - US army - have small air base in an island - and that airbase helps in fighting Alshabaab and Islamic terror - which Kenya is also fighting in Somalia.

Israeli trains our paramilitary and anti-terror police- GSU and police on anti-terror - and Mossad/CIA/British intelligence - work with Kenya intelligence - to defeat international terror and criminals - like Nigeria KANU guy who thought Kenya is a zoo to hide in - or the Turkish kurdish who think Nairobi is hiding ground.

We work with Jordan airforce - and many others. Our military buys hardware now from Chinese. We refuse to be boxed into pro or anti this. Their military fighting in Somalia is being funded by America. Sadly America cut the budget for the Kenyan soldiers in Somalia this year. Expect to see more brutality against the kdf at the hands of alshabaab.

Actually alshabaab have been executing some of it's members accusing them of spying for Kenya .They no longer trust Kenyan fighters who are generally viewed as spies .

Nigeria Army need deep reforms. The likes Gen Tonje enforced on KDF. For example Tonje rules require one to acquire a military science degree before being promoted to Major. One must also be promoted to another rank in 4yrs or leave the services. Commander server for 4yrs and leave services.

Nigeria need an army general or president who can face the army (they might do a coup) and enforce REFORMS. it not working. They need to professionalism the force, fix remuneration, housing, and such issues. Being an army should be something to be proud of.
