Let's discuss Chainsaw Man..
Despite its flaws, I love this manga to death but with the anime coming up and the hype train at full throttle, I help but think that a lot of people are going to be disappointed.

Damn I thought I was the only one thinking this exact thing. I remember back when I read the manga, I loved it because I went into it with almost no expectations and got blown away. And as you mentioned, what even appealed to me more was how different it was from anything I had read before.

But right now all I'm seeing is a large group of people getting disappointed not because Chainsaw Man is bad but due to the ridiculous hype and expectations.

Then the issue of how they'll handle the gore is there too...I just hope everything works out well but I'm not sure this huge hype will be of benefit to the anime

There'll definitely be a bit of censorship. I've seen scans of the manga. There's no way they're translating all that gore straight to screen without making some adjustments.

I don't mind them switching to silhouette, or using darkened or out-of-focus shots for some of the gore shots.

However, if it's overdone we'll miss the true purpose of Chainsaw Man's fights. They usually aren't well-choreographed set pieces between seasoned martial artists but rather, desperate slugfests between people who are just trying their very best not to die.

It is. Since it took 3 of them to destroy the planet, their individual scaling is scaled to the nearest sub-tier which is Multi-continental. If it took 20 people to destroy the planet, they'd probably scale individually up to Continental.
If Mark, Nolan and Thaddeus were to fuse into one entity, then that entity would be Planetary level.

Look, Fujimoto is weird. His characters and storylines are weird. His writing is strange, simple dialogue, irreverent, offbeat humour, dynamic pacing, but beyond the surface, Fujimoto weaves deeply layered narratives.

I don't think a everyone will appreciate that. And no, not because they aren't smart enough to get it (or whatever Rick and Morty stans say) but simply because Fujimoto's style may not appeal to them. I'm expecting to see wdely varied opinions on this forum.

Haven't read CSM, but i did read his other work, fire punch. So i lnow what to expect from the author.
