The loss was on SG Mount and Rice were playing rubbish instead of him to sub both of them and bring in Sancho and Henderson early in the 2nd half to push the Italians backwards he removed Trippier who was having a decent game for Saka and later Rice for Henderson keeping Mount far more than he deserves. The game shouldn't have gone to penalties had SG done the needful with tactical subs to nullify Italy.
Pickford did his best but his teammates let him down, Philips and Shaw were also impressive.
