nymphomaniac:Modern cars now have lots of vital electrical components like modules, sensors, ECU(brainbox)which should never come in contact with water,so you can imagine when those components get soaked for hours. Worse is sea water flood in places that are in contact with oceans and seas which have a high salt content which tends to corrode even metal components. Then comes the issue of hydrolock which happens when water gets into the combustion chambers of the car and as we know, water is not compressible unlike fuel which leads to damage to the engine piston, connecting rods and even engine block in some cases. |
