I think this is the truth.... I think the perception that one needs connection to get jobs makes it difficult for people without connections to apply for jobs even if they feel they maybe qualified for it. I think we need to be confident and avoid such sentiments when we apply for jobs and I think that's only when we will be able to clearly attack job applications with everything we have (I am not implying that if you have connections, you shouldn't use it but don't depend on it 100%).

In my department, only 2 of us got the job via interviews. The rest were through connections or just APL. Today we are the only guys with the most confidence in the department cz we know we got there on merit. Just cz people get jobs through connections doesnt mean we can't also get it on merit.

So only two of you are confident just because you didn't use connect to get in LMAO .

The fact they got it through help of connect doesn't mean they are not qualified or they don't merit it or you're better than them.

Yes you are right, I am not better than them in any way. I just realized that my comment may have created that perception. However I noticed that people who get jobs through connections are not as confident when dealing with their superiors. But ofcourse, this is just my opinion

Honestly, this people can afford everything. Your kind gesture no matter how small will be appreciated and subsequently rewarded.
The female something like perfume, incense, wrapper, bags whatever you can afford. If it’s festive season consider the occasion and make an affordable package for that. Always send with a card. Have a trusted somebody to deliver or even courier.
For male: perfumes, shadda,cuff links etc
There are alot of affordable ideas. I saw someone made a package of daddawa, kuka and other traditional cooking ingredients.
If muslim you can send praying mat, qur’an, tasbih for this eid ram for me sounds tooo.....

The former Administrative Secretary has changed his tone, always tells me to pray hard. The assistant director was the one that gave my aunt the secretary's contact for her to plead with the woman on my behalf. We have been following her (secretary) up since last year, but the woman has been saying it's only when recruitment process starts properly she can do something. Is there any advice you can give me on how to approach these people.

So they don't have confidence when dealing with oga just because they got the job through connect? When in the actual sense, it's them that even have more confidence that nothing will happen because there connect will still come through for them if anything happen.

This doesn't hold. There are some unschooled/unlearned that can beat you hands down when it comes to public confidence. It's more of a character than learning. Also your DG/ES/CEO, is he also underconfident since he must have gotten there by connection too?

You need to have patience and if that doesn't work out, then find another connection. Note that politicians are in the best position to help you.

He was called bt missed it kus he was in church..he came bak nd tried calling bak bt cldnt

The HR decided to try the following day once..wich he said was d final call and got him..they wld give u instructions via call


Once uve been invited for medicals u have ur job already..within 3 to 1mnth u get ur letter nd a date for training is fixed

As for the wrong NO on ur CV, donno kus they may have called it, thats a serious issue on your part.u wld have to tell ur connect to re confirm..
