Mombasa is a slumpolis. No sidewalk! Open sewage everywhere. Abuja inner streets has traffic lights. Mombasa zero. Abuja inner roads has double lanes. Mombasa inner roads is just as tiny as Nairobi cbd!! Stop comparing your slumpolis with a mega city (Abuja) you idiots.

Highways are numbered routes, designed to carry more traffic, greater distances with more controlled access points (driveways or side streets).
Highways are typically under jurisdiction of each state or federal gov in Nigeria.

“Inner Roads” usually have more driveway access points per mile, don't cover as much distance, and are under local (city or county) jurisdiction.

Please show me that inner roads around that whole area that were missing 4yrs ago have been built. Then we move to next - walkways, footpaths and bicycle lanes.

those are inner roads. Abuja was constructed with lagos in mind, hence the wide roads. Every major place in Abuja has wide road except the streets.

I have seen what ur urban grid looks like and it’s totally different from that of Abuja-it’s basically buildings separated by two lane narrow road and a few flyover(2 or 3) some few kilometers away from ur cbd to absorb vehicles moving into and out of your cbd to various locations-Abuja layout planning on the hand is different and simila to that of Dubai,Beijing with highway and inner road at the basement cutting throughout every stre
