I just gave it a shot, as at the time it was 40 points spread for our girls with 5 mns and next round yet to come

Normally before I will jump on such immediately but one bad experience teach me lesson.one day I saw 50.5+ spread and bet on it sharp sharp thinking it will be an easy win and no how opponent to useless reach 50 points behind. By 3rd quarter is was over 60 points gap, by end of 4th it was around 75+ gap. I never know some teams can be so hopeless and unfortunate, since that time I know they do point spread again to avoid stories that touch. Na O/U I dey do with fasting and prayers because this basketball thing na witch game. It has big odds that are sweet to win but suddenly you will see that they scored 25 points in 2 mins, same teams that scored 32 points in 1 full quarter. Generally, I they avoid basketball like mad, na village people they push me go bet on it sometimes

Final score: 81-72...not bad at all...I mean, this is really an impressive result for our hurriedly put together Olympic team
So our 1st and 4th Qtr s were top notch.....our passes were better, our offensive play improved a lot in the 4th. Our confidence didn't wane throughout the match...the coaching crew did a fantastic job from the sidelines and with the sub....I didn't see a
Out of timeouts in this game at crucial periods though...
Our worst is probably the 3rd Qtr.
1. We need to decide if we are zone marking and defend well and get the ball up court quickly as well.
2. If we switch to 1-one-1 marking then our players should follow their opponents every where toe to toe...this is more difficult if you don't have players with the stamina
3. We need to improve our 2 point shots, the lay ups, jump shots and have at least one centre to follow up on the rebounds and this we did not do enough
4. Our 3 point defense against our opponents must really, really improve..we give them too much space and too much seconds to adjust and take their shots...that happened a lot in this game especially against US star Lyods....
5. Ify needs to play that centre strong and draw more fouls from the opponents defense
6. I didn't see much of screen and roll from our girls and when there was one it was a moving screen so the referee just ignored us
7. The point guards and our shooting guards must communicate often when they take the ball up courtto set up the offensive play...they both were too much in a hurry

Overall this was fantastic and very impressive play....against an equally talented US side. We will win our next match if we maintain this momentum but if we are playing a European side like France we need to be careful because most European teams are masters of 3 pointers and it will sink any team of you allow them space and time to hit 3 points...

for those peeps asking about the scores, it ended 81-72 in favor if U.S. I have got to mention that I'm immensely proud of our girls, they went toe to toe with the undisputed heavyweights and gave a good account of themselves in this enthralling match.
I watched the game and something funny happened at the end of the first quarter, the U.S. team coach was shouting on her players "we got hit.. we got hit real bad". That was the highlight of the match for me lol
