I think I understand the bolded.... We are swing traders trying to compete with day traders and scalpers. Of course it messes with the psychology because a normal swing setup takes days or weeks to complete but in the contest, that rush for competition may not let us stay focused to see the setup completed and we become "trigger happy" most especially for us inexperienced swingers.

With better experience, we would be able to manage the contest.

your opinion, but I disagree with you. It shows that you can't stand the test of prop firm. I don't see any big deal in the rules of the contest.

Remember my bad trading habit yesterday, I woke up now to see 120+ pips, I closed it with an equivalent profit of $64.67 (See attached close result).

The reason I closed it is that I took it only because I wanted to push the candle to close above the line the more; now that gold has successfully broken the line and I have taken advantage of +120pips of the breakage, I will expect that it will retrace, to test the line again, thus, take back some of the 120pips, so I'm out. Now, as it retraces, it may now settle above the line by today's close - this right here is my perfect entry; so I will now long afresh by today's close as I would normally do.

Execution: Gold exited at +120pips
Outlook for today: If the candle now closes above the line by today's close, I will long again, same SL.....I might aim 800.0pips on this, and this trade may last up to 7days.

I think the best way to trade doji is to use sell stop order, works better that way from my experience

True. I am learning from this thread really. I'll be studying the reality of larger SL because I miss lots of trade due to perfect entry and tight SL all the time. Great work from Mr. GabsonFX.

I think the end time for the contest was a mistake. It ought to have ended an hour ago. I will go ahead to manually end it and disqualify @samfelly ( I am not able to access his trades and I have reached out to him days before now but got no response. I gave him all these chances because I remembered he informed me about some stuffs that I allowed but not hiding trades) and then finalize it.

Whoever has any reservations with the top 5 traders can call our attn to it before we announce winners. I will delay announcement till tomorrow. I realized there are a number of trades to look through in each of the contestants .
