I stand with the reds. Trading just any time frame I believe keeps a trader confused as one may not truly understand the real direction of the market at a particular time.

But trading a single time frame setup (higher time frame) is easier in my opinion as the direction is understood and all that is required is to "catch a train" from a LTF(H4, H1 or M30) moving in the the direction of the HTF (IF the trader is interested in reducing his risk)
I concur.

I love this discussion,,,, I have not been using 4TF, my TF Is 15MIN, 30MIN AND 1HR because I scalp a lot especially when I am free and I do check the price and I love taking notes of trade or currency that has been down for long,,, I do check currency strength and US index before looking at my caddie sticks... It's like I will do to 4hr TF now

From your comments, you are an experienced trader. Your losses are minimal I'm sure
Though I have my own fair share of forex years, but I don’t refer to myself as “experienced” yet...truth is, I just recently found my foot in this game.

Another reason I came up with a youtube channel, not to gain followers or to earn youtube $cash, mba - he no fit reach me; in fact, I've spent thousands of dollars on all required pieces of recording equipment and have all been delivered but mhen - I'm damn too busy atleast for now. I've got requests on telegram to open a telegram channel which I had to decline cos I'm just too busy. However, I will continue to teach, not just fx, I venture into other different stuff outside fx and NL. It's a desirable pleasure. Nonetheless, let's venture into a new topic for this weekend as par your request - I will call it "what makes forex traders going round and round a circle"

Debate: Should I trade only on ONE TIMEFRAME and stick to it throughout my trading career, even in a case where no entry shows up on that particular TF but shows up on other TFs OR I should base my strategy on trading any TIMEFRAME AT ALL which depicts good entry at any given time, either M30, H1, H4, D1 whichever comes first then I can switch from one to another based on whichever TF I see my exact entry requirement?

FTA, Let's discuss, the floor is open: are you for the red or the green and why?
I would go with green. I don't trade just any timeframe. The 1 hour TF is my default timeframe of analysis but I always look at the 4 hour and daily TFs for direction or bias and sometimes have to drill down to the 15 minutes chart for entry. It all depends on one's trading system and style.

I have found that not looking for entries on the lower timeframes after the setups have occurred on the higher timeframes keep me out of winning trades most times. The system dictates the timeframes to be used.

I prefer to stick to one TF, D1 for analysis and entry is on lower TF.
Using multiple tf for analysis will print plenty false signals, better to use higher tf and wait for the lower tf to align with the analysis on the higher tf b4 pulling the triger

You like rice and I hate rice does not mean rice is a bad food, I like beans and you hate beans does not mean beans is a bad food, just that we all have different food as our favorite food, same also apply to this your question, for this reason, I will form a quote for it

"Some traders will choose red not because green is bad, also some traders will choose green not because red is bad, but because they all choose what works for them" - Tony,142

Take a look at the comments so far and compare it to my quote and u will realized my quotes is 100% correct cool

Oil holding, long but not strong for the week; bearish correction is possible

GBP holding: Strong short for the week

Short but not strong enough; reversal looms. USJpy and UScad may rise.

samfelly:
Okay. But are the lower lines indicating, again, boss?
Re: Forex Trade Alerts: Season 21 by Elliotwaveforec: 5:03pm On Jul 31, 2021
Sell but not too strong

Re: Forex Trade Alerts: Season 21 by Nobody: 5:09pm On Jul 31, 2021
Makes sense

zonall:
It is the red for me. I think it depends on your style of trading, not necessarily whether you are a swing trader or day trader.
To avoid messing with your psychology, sticking to and waiting for a valid setup on a particular higher TF like D1, H4, H1 is more realistic for analysis.
However, entry for trade may be optimized in lower entries, some people use even M1.
Re: Forex Trade Alerts: Season 21 by Nobody: 5:12pm On Jul 31, 2021
Makes sense exactly.
The bolded will continue to happen, but great you are for a single TF.

Donvic4u:
Its the red for me H4 timeframe does it for me,

Funny enough every single time I've tried to use the 'green method' I've been burnt..

H4 or nothing now
Re: Forex Trade Alerts: Season 21 by dennison4luv: 5:29pm On Jul 31, 2021
Big thanks to INFOFIRST, alert well received. Honestly the competition is really building me, I am getting better. With the competition result so far, if you open 5 or 6 positions with 1 or 2 lot size in a $1k account, nothing will happen to your account for sure.
Re: Forex Trade Alerts: Season 21 by gem70(m): 5:45pm On Jul 31, 2021
Glad to be on this educative and profitable forum smiley smiley
Re: Forex Trade Alerts: Season 21 by Nobody: 6:06pm On Jul 31, 2021
This means you are for the red then, you trade H4 or H1.
However, I would still advise you to streamline it to taking position only on one of them at all times, H1 or H4....and compare the results.

Skanas:
In my Opinion, your Trading time frame(s) should emanate from your Strategy/Style. I analyse( I scout for OB) on W1 and D1(this is where I get my Best Buy/Sell Zones) while I pull the trigger on H4 or H1 so as to reduce my SL size....so you see, I use different TFs for different purposes because my Strategy permits me...
Re: Forex Trade Alerts: Season 21 by Nobody: 6:15pm On Jul 31, 2021
Right, the bolded will likely keep you round a circle...glad you figured it out......yes, your focusing on lower TF (only 4H) makes you more focused.....that's a breakthrough for sure

CopyJoe:
It's the red for me. I have tried the green several times and it didn't work for me.

But, I use lower TF (only 4H) for entries sometimes. To reduce my risk.

Anything lower than 4H is noisy and gives too many entry or exit signals.

Even 4H has to align with D1 before I can pull the trigger.

Whatever timeframe I look at from H4 to MN must be because I want to understand D1 better.
Re: Forex Trade Alerts: Season 21 by Nobody: 6:17pm On Jul 31, 2021
This is another on-point habit, you are with the red. This is absolutely on-point and the confusion part too.

charly20:
I stand with the reds. Trading just any time frame I believe keeps a trader confused as one may not truly understand the real direction of the market at a particular time.
