One should be very mindful when trying to establish communication with a business entity or a government agency. Observing due diligence by cross checking email addresses, web address, and domain names before contacting business authorities and agencies in the online space is becoming even more glaring as it was recently highlighted in a post by the Economic and Finincial Crimes Commission of Nigeria (EFCC). According to the post which was shared on thier official facebook page, it seems that Scammers have become clever at phishing for victims sensitive details by Impersonating legitimate businesses and government agencies. In the post which has been stirring lots of debate, EFCC issued a disclaimer to prevent public from falling prey to the schemes of scammers. The correct email address was also made public on thier official Facebook page.
