Great you know it's not quite good.....it makes traders lose their uniqueness in trading

haryodehjia:
Trading all tfs is not quiet good but I do that most times just cos I tend to find some patterns on the chart.. But in particular I prefer Dtfs.
Re: Forex Trade Alerts: Season 21 by Nobody: 6:22pm On Jul 31, 2021
Some of these sentences are quite contradictory to the green - I don't understand, be glad you make it simpler.

Piptocoin:
I would go with green. I don't trade just any timeframe. The 1 hour TF is my default timeframe of analysis but I always look at the 4 hour and daily TFs for direction or bias and sometimes have to drill down to the 15 minutes chart for entry. It all depends on one's trading system and style.

I have found that not looking for entries on the lower timeframes after the setups have occurred on the higher timeframes keep me out of winning trades most times. The system dictates the timeframes to be used.

Wow! this place go blow in few years to come; I'm glad to see guys having the right mindset.

femora007:
I prefer to stick to one TF, D1 for analysis and entry is on lower TF.
Using multiple tf for analysis will print plenty false signals, better to use higher tf and wait for the lower tf to align with the analysis on the higher tf b4 pulling the triger

Great, this is more like a hybrid thing.

The Green for me with more attn to 4h n daily thou
Re: Forex Trade Alerts: Season 21 by Nobody: 6:28pm On Jul 31, 2021
I guess this means the red then, so you mean - one should just pick one of the listed.

VeeVeeMyLuv:
u won't go wrong with 1h, 4h, & daily for entry (in combination with Supp, Ress & Trenn). 1h for daytrader, 4h for wannabe swing trader, Daily TF for the certified swing trader.

Then month & weekly only 4 direction/bigger picture except u hv deep pocket capital for entry.

But you have not answered the question as it relates to you as a trader wink

Tony142:
You like rice and I hate rice does not mean rice is a bad food, I like beans and you hate beans does not mean beans is a bad food, just that we all have different food as our favorite food, same also apply to this your question, for this reason, I will form a quote for it
"Some traders will choose red not because green is bad, also some traders will choose green not because red is bad, but because they all choose what works for them" - Tony,142
Take a look at the comments so far and compare it to my quote and u will realized my quotes is 100% correct cool
Re: Forex Trade Alerts: Season 21 by Nobody: 6:52pm On Jul 31, 2021
My contribution is this:
There is a reason why there are different trading styles: Scalpers, day traders, swingers, and position traders. These different TFs define your trading style, you just have to discover which TF works for you and stick to it.
Note: each trading styles have their bad times (days or weeks), when you jump from one TF to another, it means you are jumping from one trading style to another, you may be at high risk because you may join the day traders at their bad time and then you switch to swingers but again during their bad times.

The goal should be, I want to remain with my style, come rain or come shine, I'm there during the bad times and there during the good times; my 2nd goal will now be filtering out the bad times so I don't get too much of it.

From my experience, if you jump from one TF to another even though they seem like perfect entry, it wanders the trading mind.

Above all, do what works for you, as long as profits are made.

yes
This is where discipline and professionalism comes into play.

By sticking with one pair, instead of trading multiple pairs.

Just like somebody trying to eat all the various food dishes in a buffet menu! The person will just collapse.
Re: Forex Trade Alerts: Season 21 by Donsheddy: 8:38pm On Jul 31, 2021
i trade majorly on 30mins and 15mins tf.... but I also look at the , weekly and daily and 4h tf to determine the trend....

It means I stick to one timeframe (the one hour) but my bias comes from the 4 hours and daily charts. I take my entries on the 1 hour chart. There are times however I have to look for an entry on the 30 and 15 minutes charts as my entries usually show up early before they do on the 1 hour chart.

This is also why I said the trading system dictates the timeframes to be used.

OK, Guys!

I've been doing simple research on how to optimize and maximize your profit potential in the business with one of the props, and I just finalized my outcome. You use small capital to target great profit.....This is more of an analysis I have to make for you to really understand the concept.

I will find time to unleash to you guys this week.

My brother, my hobby is to teach, I've taught for years, still teaching, and will retire teaching. Another reason I came up with a youtube channel, not to gain followers or to earn youtube $cash, mba - he no fit reach me; in fact, I've spent thousands of dollars on all required pieces of recording equipment and have all been delivered but mhen - I'm damn too busy atleast for now. I've got requests on telegram to open a telegram channel which I had to decline cos I'm just too busy. However, I will continue to teach, not just fx, I venture into other different stuff outside fx and NL. It's a desirable pleasure. Nonetheless, let's venture into a new topic for this weekend as par your request - I will call it "what makes forex traders going round and round a circle"

Debate: Should I trade only on ONE TIMEFRAME and stick to it throughout my trading career, even in a case where no entry shows up on that particular TF but shows up on other TFs OR I should base my strategy on trading any TIMEFRAME AT ALL which depicts good entry at any given time, either M30, H1, H4, D1 whichever comes first then I can switch from one to another based on whichever TF I see my exact entry requirement?

FTA, Let's discuss, the floor is open: are you for the red or the green and why?
Since I started learning Forex - a year ago - I have always been looking at One (1) Minute Time Frame, because Candlesticks (Chart) appeared as an intriguing thing to me and I was happy, no, dying to unravel a lot, each time I look at a chart ( especially when I shrink and I see all the wave-like movement in haphazard order).

And since we where on #Lockdown, one didn't have anywhere to go, so I stared at 1 min TF all day.

Although, a lot of people have been crying NOISE in 1 min TF, but I don't see it.

But, now that I have read all contributors' opinions here about this topic Gabsonfx raised, I think it's about time I married a higher TF, 1D preferably.

Thank you Gabsonfx, for making traders here search for their 'truest' selves

pls somebody should clarify me((intending fx trader)) on this, what is the essence of puting high amount of money in trade? since for e.g. If i`m trading a micro account or lot and a pip move here is worth 10cent , if I put 100 dollar and another person put 1000 dollar and price moves up say e.g. 2 pip, I did make 20cent the same with the person with 1000 dollar i`m right?
Re: Forex Trade Alerts: Season 21 by karkinase(m):
Spotted a nice set-up on GU. GU couldn't breach the strong resistance @ 1.3980-1.40. An M-formation is seem formed on the H1 TF. I expect a retest of the neck line and a drop down.
Confluence on these setup
1. Trend line break
2. 50MA break .

High capital will afford u d opportunity to use relative high lot size.
A pip on; 0.01 lot = 10 cent, 0.1 lot = $1, 1 lot = $10, 10 lot = $100
The bigger the lot size the bigger the risk/loss or gain/profit potential. Hope u understand cool
