Unknown gunmen attack Imo community, behead man, raze over 20 shops, cars

Some yet-to-be identified gunmen have attacked Okporo and neighbouring communities in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State and behead a man believed to be a community leader in the area.

DAILY POST gathered that the attack began on Sunday night through to Sunday morning.

According to reports, the victim was beheaded on Sunday night and his head was placed on a table around the market in Okporo community.

Details of the story are still sketchy as the state’s Police Command Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mike Abatam, could not be reached as at press time.

Orlu has witnessed several unrests over the activities of unknown gunmen wreaking havoc in the area.

This story right here should give a clue to the uninitiated as to what's going on in Orlu Imo State. It should warn you to be very careful about what you read these days...
Yesterday, it was reported here that The Nigerian Army was involved in the looting and destruction of a hotel and sundry shops around the hotel. They will later go down to the hometown of the hotelier to destroy his country home. Their reason was that the hotel was used to plan attacks by "UGM".. Most of those arrested and paraded are most probably some innocent hotel guests who happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time...

Now, today, the same story is being vigorously skewed to look like the so called unknown gunmen (Note that they now intentionally use UGM and ESN interchangeably for devilish effects) were responsible for the attacks and destructions. The story about the beheading was reported here last week! They are two different events. But see how the newspaper editors mangled the whole narrative to suit predetermined warped ends?! The burning and destruction and killings that happened on Sunday was effectively orchestrated by the Army at Okporo near Orlu! Not by some unknown whatever! Unless we're referring to some paramilitary groups here..

I was confused by the information mix up. I can recall reading about the beheading here earlier than Sunday. I think it was Oyigboupdate who wrote and shared the pictures. Something sinister is happening in Imo state.
