We Are A Failed State: Nigeria Needs A White President In 2023 by EndSARS77(op): 10:01pm On Aug 05, 2021
My brothers and sister, I am sorry to say but Nigeria is slowly becoming a failed state. Today is thursday august 5th or 6th, 2021. It has been 5 days now since we last saw NEPA light in Evbotubu and the rechargeable fan which my family bought for me has run out of battery, hence I am being forced to sleep in heat and darkness. Presently I have no voters card because I see no need to own one. Moreover the process involved is too cumbersome - thinking about it alone gives me headaches. As a matter of fact I have never owned a voters card, even though I have been legally an adult for several years now. Mr president sir, nobody I know in benin city voted you into office... all my friends and family (including my foes) all voted for Atiku Abubakar. Mr president, you are the one that voted yourself into office. Mr president, did we commit crime to become Nigerians? Afterall we are not the ones who created ourselves. God made our parents gave birth to us as Nigerians. I remember when you were coming into office, you promised us change - we never knew that change would actually be a negative one. When ex president G.E.J left office for you, $1 was N160 but now it is going for N410 - as a result things are so expensive. Now to get a haircut is N500 (some people are barbing hair N1,000 in Benin). Transport in Benin is something else. Now the cheapest android phone, is not less than N30,000. Mr president, I remember it was during your regime that the END SARS protest happened. Nigerians let us wise up - we are tired of these politicians and their sugar coated promises they make to us during their presidential campaigns. Whoever is coming after president Buhari in 2023, is going to be as bad as president Buhari (if not worse). What about vision 20-20-20 they used to tell us in the early 2000's: NEPA light for all, education for all, employment for all. Now 2020 is long gone and nobody remembers those sugar coated promises. Just like we call white people to coach us during the olympics, so they can use their technology for our athletes... I think it is also time to call them to rule us as our presidents, so the country can become good. Afterall is it bad if someone like Barrack Obama becomes the president of Nigeria?

All your education yet you still reason like a dunce.

Nigeria's problems are structural, and are not surmountable merely by changing the skin colour of its president.

Will a white president mean Nigeria's low annual budget of 30 billion dollars - the root cause of its problems - will suddenly baloon to 150 billion usd or 1 trillion usd?? How? By magic?

South Africa's annual budget is 125 billion usd for its 60 million people.

Nigeria's is 30 billion usd for 210 million people.

Nigeria's number one need is economic diversification. The oil income is grossly insufficient for its population.

What if your white president is not committed to diversification, and insists on importation from his country while discouraging local manufacturing and production?

That was what the British did when they ruled Nigeria, which was why there was not a single major industry at independence in Nigeria after 70 years of British rule.

In fact, the reason Nigeria was still an underdeveloped bush in 1960 without a single power plant, expressway, or university, after 70 years of WHITE rule was because they looted the wealth Nigeria generated from her exports.

So, better ditch your dumb and stupid, bush mentality that says ''so long as it is a white man everything will be good''.

That's the thinking of a colonised, dumbass, ignorant air head.

Oh now I know you're bona fide dunce.

Thank goodness others can read what I posted cos it was obviously wasted on a tout like you.

Oh, and thank your lucky stars for black rule/independence, without which YOU would have been a stark illiterate, village hut dwelling hunter of cockroaches and rabbits like your grandpa and his pa.

Nigeria only had 5% literacy at independence in 1960, since the British did not invest in schools or education for the masses. Thanks to independence, and govt's construction of thousands of public schools across the nation, literacy rate is 70% today and rising. THAT is why YOU can read and write today.

So calling for whites to come back and rule you shows you are a dumbass, ignorant slave and cretin.

The kind of leaders we have no direction

The amount of money wasted on administration can give Nigeria some basic needs

How do we diversify our economy when our government is hellbent of monopolizing our manufacturing industry & frustrate little startup?

We have lots of things we can export but government will frustrate someone to the bone if you don't have hundreds of millions to run the business

This is government that does every project at inflated prices still deliver substandard

Bottom line, it's not about out budget but how it's spent

Moan moan moan...... Look around you. There are literally MILLIONS of successful businesses operating all over Nigeria as we speak. What is it that they know that you don't know?

How is govt monopolising manufacturing? The govt does NOT manufacture anything. That is a prIvate sector activity, ie YOU.

Stop expecting a perfect country where everything is easy.

It was in this same country that a young Lagos boy established a startup on a shoestring, that was later bought by US tech company Stripe for 200 million dollars cash.

It is in this same Nigeria that Innoson started by selling spare parts in Nnewi market, to establish the biggest black-owned vehicle manufacturing company on Earth.

If all you see are problems, you will never be like these guys.

Nigeria is a land of possibilities. A land of opportunity. Africa's biggest consumer market. Think of a need you can fill, and you'll make it big In Nigeria, regardless of what is happening in govt or in Abuja or with Buhari etc.

No,bringing a white president from elsewhere, won't solve our problem,we must look inward, and brainstorm.
Diversifying the Economy also works.

What you don't know is bigger than you

I lives n work in same Nigeria & to the glory of God, I can take proper care of myself. Started my business with 5k savings but has been blessed real good

Mind you, Nigeria factor frustrated me badly & if not for never die spirit in me it would have been different story

You mentioned few people but forgot that millions started & abandoned their business out of frustration caused by government bad policy

Let me use myself as example, I saved up 5k in the year 2003 from my monthly salary then because I earn 1900naira monthly. I used the 5k to start buying palm kernel nut & by 2008, I grew the money plus savings from different salary job to over 500k then I used the money to start cyber cafe business.

In less than 1yr, epileptic power supply destroyed my business but it makes me becomes stronger as I go back into salary job then restrategize n switch to business that doesn't requires power supply.

Not as if all Nigerians are dumb but most of government policies is not favourable for start up

Go n check numbers of companies that has fold up & if you need, I will gladly gives you examples. A friend of mine during secondary school days, his dad works with Exide battery(along Iwo road) but same Exide battery is nowhere to be found today

No perfect country on earth even almighty USA because they don't pick money on the street anywhere but I love to be honest with myself, our government should improve things
