The Arewa Youth Advisory Forum (AYCF) has called on the Federl Government to ban Nigeria’s reality show, BBNaija.

Speaking to newsmen on Friday, AYCF National President, Yerima Shettima, described the show as a calamity.

He said government ought not to allow it to be aired because it promotes immorality and sexual content.

According to Shettima, “It’s a calamity for me; I never believed in BBNaija and I don’t think it’s fair because the show is an act of immorality. Such a spectacle should not be encouraged.

“I have often said that this show encourages immorality and that the Nigerian government should ban it, it should not be allowed to be broadcast in our country.

“You see, a lot of people are watching to see acts of immorality, these sexual things flaunting their nudity, and they made it look like a ‘blue film’, so that is to be discouraged.

“I urge true lovers of the country to join hands and draw the government’s attention to the implication of this program which should be discouraged.”
BBNaija is reality show in which contestants live in an isolated house and compete for a large cash prize at the end of the show, by avoiding being evicted by viewers.”

The sixth edition of the show tagged: ‘Shine Ya Eyes’, is ongoing.

Awon werey! Dem no ask for ban on open grazing wey dey kill recklessly na bbn be their head ache. This is obviously why the north is so backward. How can they progress??

Is Big brother Naija shown on NTA ni ?
Abi anyone is mandated to watch the show?
I have never watched BBNaija.
And won't be willing to watch in the nearest future.
I will rather go to www.hardcore.com and watch some Latin America and ebony big ass ladies...
But, these guys are too archaic and conservative for kicking against so many modern stuffs.
They should stop using cars and stick to camels and donkeys for their transportations.
They should stop living in mansions and start living in huts.
They should replace their LED TVs with those days 14" sharp and Sony television �.
They should ditch their smartphones and go for the outdated Sagem and Sony Ericsson cell phones.
Conservatism and Haram kee them dia.
Medieval people.
They should be more concerned about addressing the out of school children, insecurities and lack of basic amenities in the country, especially in their region.
U want to be more Moslem than Saudi Arabia
