Messi's Love For Money Is More Than His Love For Barcelona by Prophetdoctor(m): 12:17pm On Aug 06, 2021
I don’t feel sorry for Barcelona, Messi or La Liga. Messi INSANE salary has rinsed Barcelona’s finances completely dry, to the point they cannot register himself and other players. If I were Messi, I'd ask Barcelona what level of wages they could afford in relation to the La Liga rules, and play for that amount.

He probably earns millions just from advertising contracts outside of football, so money is effectively irrelevant to him. Plus, can you imagine how his legend would increase, should he come out and say 'I'll play for Barcelona for free if I have to?' But it's abvious he wants more money.

What's your thoughts?

My brother leave that thing....
If he retires today, he won't be making as much money he's making now.

The only time a footballer has to make all the money he wants to make is when they're still playing, that's why I don't blame the likes of Oscar, Ramires who went to China to make cool cash.

So make una leave Messi abeg!.... No be him papa get Barca.

OP you have said my mind. The problem, however, is that Barca and Messi fans are too blinded by sentiments to see this.

Chief, players don't make all the money they want only when they are playing. A player can become coach, club director, board chairman, FIFA/UEFA president and many others. Have you not seen investments C.Ronaldo is making? Let's say the truth, Messi is rich enough to play for 'his beloved barca' for free, retire at 50years, and still remain rich for a lifetime.

See this hipocrite. Will you do it if you are the one? Name one player that ever played for a club for free.
Someone cut his wages by 50% when he could have earned far more in other clubs yet it still not enough for the you to appreciate.
If he plays for free, it's still you that will be shouting "he's scared of new challenge, one club man" Sighs

You are too inconsequential for me to join issues with. Messi was acting as a god in Barca. He acted as if he can do anything for them. What is cutting 50% of his salary? Don't you know that 50% of his wages can pay for 10 players? He rinsed Barca dry! Even the 50% would've still crumbled the team. Let me go him and face new challenge, let's see how well he will go!

Do these guys that write rubbish know that Messi reduced his wages by 50% and even further reduced it yesterday during the meeting but still couldn't work out because of the wages threshold and la Liga FFP rule?

Ogbeni, answer the damn questions and stop this your insincere argument.
1. If you were Messi, would you play for free when you had offers from other clubs?
2. Name a player that has ever played for his club for free in the history of football.

If you cannot answer these questions, keep your opinion aside and stop being hypocrite.

You are also so inconsequential for me to argue with! I stated my facts but it's obvious that sentiment has blacked your mind from understanding. Let him go to Qatar to continue his rinsing.

Tired of foolish ignoramus like you saying jargons especially on issue you dont know shit about.
Messi accepted a 50% reduction in salary just to push this new contract through, which one of you fools can do that, fyi there is something called Financial fair play in laliga,so you'll have him starve so he can impress the likes of you who are still foolish enough to think he still has something to proof to a club he has done the extraordinary for.

You are the most brainless and unreasonable idiot on this forum.

50% wage reduction is not enough?

If Messi was your father or brother, would you advise him to play for free??

If Messi agreed to play for free, wouldn't you have said he's scared of new challenge?

Get you facts right. The reason for their bankruptcy is not because of Messi's salary. As a matter of fact, do you know how much Barcelona makes from his endorsement deals, TV rights, adverts & Jersey sales?

Bartomeu spent almost 500M to sign Coutinho, Greizmann & Dembele......was it Messi that sanction these deals?? How much have these players that earn so much generated for Barcelona in terms of Jersey sales, endorsement & adverts??

Even if you want to be jerk, be a reasonable one but its obviously you are dumb and ignorant as the same time.

Your foolishness is glaring, heck even hardcore Ronaldo fans on twitter aren't as uninformed as you.
You stomp on your phone after bed and start making a fool out of yourself. The president of the club gave an hour long interview on how messi did everything possible to stay, but no you just have to embarrass yourself over a stupid debacle that is all in your head.
FYI he has signed for PSG so your days of wailing over messi has just begun

Don't mind the Idiot OP!
Very stupid person ...I am still souring about Messi leaving, this one is saying Messi likes money. Idiot fellow.
That Laliga President wants to finish Laliga pkatapkata. The idiot even went to bring $2.7 Billion investment that will ruin us...all in the name of controlling the big clubs.
If only yeye Graizmann and umtiti and pjanic and coutinho had been sold earlier we would have included Messi in the payroll.
Those useless Barca players don't want to leave. Even common umtiti injury idiot doesn't wanna leave becos of his high salary.
As for Aguero wanting to leave...abeg the wasted idiot should Waka far joor........

It's now time to bring Xavi. Koeman is shit so this season na to just watch Barca match with clear mind...I fit watch am? No Messi.....#very sad no magic

Just read what you typed to yourself again and see whether it makes sense. There is no iota of facts in what you wrote here. Your opinion comes from your heart of hatred for Messi. In fact, how can you be reasoning for him? He doesn't need your shallow mental opinion. I just thank God that you are not his career adviser, you would have misled him.
I ask you again if you are not a hypocrite, answer the two questions I posted.

The best player in the history of laliga.
He's supposed to be collecting salary from laliga separately. He single handedly helped by Barca win many trophies. He's the greatest. He worked for every single Penny Barca payed him
