Do you know soilless farming ? That is what is practiced in Ogun state in most new generation farms. It does not consume much land and the rate of food production is faster compared to soil farming. You can produce Yam without digging the soil.

I also have the same thoughts as yours on this. Destroying forests would increase global warming and reduce oxygen and increase carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Trees produce the oxygen we breath into our bodies and those same forest trees remove carbon dioxide.

Without trees, we would all be
dead!

I get pissed off when I see some of these lame and criminal charcoal export seminar ads. They should
be banned outright to protect the trees and then renewable energy for cooking must be promoted.
