I still have many Yoruba friends here in Onitsha Ado where am living.you shouldn't genarlise or use the encounter you had with one yoruba or Igbo to judge all yoruba or Igbo.

Hey,my real name is Chigbo,am a native of Onitsha- agu,Nkanu East LGA,Enugu state.
I have been a nairalander since 2015 but decided to create an account earlier this year.
I want you guys to know that The Igbos and Yorubas rivalry and hatred is only online,probably maybe only on Nairaland.
My mums uncle Obisi has been living in Ile ife ever since he was 17,he trained my mum.my mum schooled in ile ife,she is fluent in Yoruba,my Senior bro Nonso has been living in Ile ife since maybe 2011,he is also fluent in yoruba.I usually visits Nonso sometimes there,so am talking from experience.
Yorubas might not be the most peaceful people but they have respect for Other tribes living amongst them.
Same goes for my bloods down East,I recall around 2005 or so,some Yoruba's who were living in our town usually come to our house because of my mum,we cooked and ate together,iya simi was always calling me Omomi,well I didn't know what omomi meant then until my mum told me omomi means my child.

You never lived in Yoruba land..you still dey visit. I worked among Yorubas as the only Igbo, they nearly frustrate my life.

It’s only on Nairaland believe u me...d infinite kids we have here currently ain’t helping this forum one bit.

The one and only true neighbor I knew while growing up in d 90s were this Yoruba family from Kwara,Ilorin.

I personally get jittery when face to face with anyone with black dot on their forehead.

But I have not always been like that. It's the realities of the modern times that caused it.
