Scam today 10/08/2021! Osita Akhigbe has just succeeded in scamming me of 8k in a bid to offer my freelance account review. I sent him the agreed money and he blocked me. NewDawnEra:I doubt too. A quick check on truecaller, the aforementioned phone number has a different name. But then, the name Osita Akhigbe is the bank name. How could the person have opened a bank account with a fake name? Or are we missing something here 1 Like

Darkmode64:Some banks allows you to create a new bank account in a minute. All you need is phone number. You don't even need bvn. Those are the banks the boy uses. |

Cronus1:I understand and this hole is being exploited by con men. Nigerians always take advantage of everything. I also recently lost 20k to a WhatsApp TV. Posted it here: https://www.nairaland.com/6695342/scam-alert-avoid-investments-whatsapp I've contacted the scammers bank though. |

OP Are you a learner, how can someone have a first name as Osita and a surname as Akhigbe, that one alone should put your antennae on red alert for danger Just like all those apprentice scammers who call people's phones pretending to be bank officials, aside from their bad English, what gives them away is that they start by saying "I am Mr this"......
