The BCM needed to change controls from RHD to LHD go cost pass ₦40,000, I never talk of gear shifter, dash, wipers, etc.

Should OP just sell the car over there and add the proposed shipping and clearing cost to get a factory LHD.

It's not a bad thing to convert a car as long as it's properly done. Some cars like Peugeot, Vauxhall/Opel, some VW, some Mercedes, some BMW and some Toyota have provisions and pre-cutouts and pre-drilled out parts on them to easily allow for swapping especially in EU and Asian countries were a car may be used to travel from eiher a LHD to RHD Country and Vise Versa. All you just need is buy some parts, swap and programme where applicable.
