How Many Nairalanders Are Considering A Solar Setup For Their Home's Or Offices by MaztaDellah(op):
First off, I'm posting this in the politics for more coverage. After all, electricity is a national issue tied to politics. Lol.

So, the question is how many Nairalanders are using a solar setup or are considering getting one?

I'm a specialist in all kinds of inverters, batteries, and solar panels, and I build custom inverters engineered to work well with my clients' appliances based on their preferences.

In this thread, I'll be doing a tutorial or breakdown of the things you'll need for a solar setup. Quite frankly, you don't need to break the bank to get something feasible for your home office.

Contrary to popular misconceptions about solar systems, if you get quality inverters and batteries, you'll rarely need any replacements or repairs in many years of usage.

I have a small setup myself at home, so I'll be using that as a case study to help everyone understand better.

This setup includes:
- 2 100amps batteries
- 4 150w poly solar panels
- 1.5kva inverter
- PWM charge controller

While a marmot budget is always the best, you can squeeze out the best value from your money if you're looking for a decent, yet efficient setup.

So, without further ado. Let's get right into it.

The basic, most importants things you need for a solar setup are:

- A set of batteries ( there are different types which we will delve into later)
- A set of solar panels ( differs as well)
- An inverter ( based on how heavy the appliances you have in your home or office are)
- A charge controller ( to regulate power coming from the sun)
- miscellaneous

So, here's how it all works: the sun, through the panels, power your house or office during the day, while the battery charges simultaneously and reserves power which will serve as a backup at night or during a cloudy day.

Before we go further, pease indicate interest, and if you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.

Cost differs from one person to another. Put simply, it depends on the appliances you have in your house.

I'll be breaking the types of batteries and their cost here.

The small setup I'm using myself at home cost me around 300k, so I'm going to break the cost down here.

as for the inverter, I mostly recommend my product with warranty for my client, that is the ones I build myself. Moreover there are other imported products that are also effective. E.g Prag, Eastman, micro tech, luminous, e.t.c. as for the battery, I mostly recommend quanta deep circle and amaze tubular battery e.t.c.
