I had to run a quick check on the mongoose and I was surprised.

A carnivorous.
Belongs to the same class as the meerkat.
Can defend/withstand the king cobra.
Can be semi-domesticated.
They compete with the cats against vermin.

King Cobra can go for months with out food and it drinks water using it's belly and not through the mouth.

Op I have problems believing numbers 1&6 in ur write-up, King cobras are not the longest of the venomous snakes,I don't think they are longer than a full grown Mamba,and again I think the eagles are the biggest predators of not only the king cobras but also almost all other snakes
