Hello fellow Nairalanders,
For some time, I have been having a nagging desire to start up a dispatch/courier company here in Abuja, but I honestly don’t know all the ropes. I have done extensive research (including reading some threads here) but I need the wisdom of fellow Nairalanders who have gotten experience in this business (too much advice no dey kill).
Here are my questions and look forward to positive and enlightening comments

1. what is the best motorbike to use and the pros and cons?
2. what are the main problems of motor bikes?
3. how do you tackle fraudulent riders who tamper with the trackers?
4. are experienced drivers better than newbie drivers?
5. how is the tariff or fares fixed?
6. how much is a customized pick up and drop service mobile app
7. is fixed pay better than percentage pay or commission

Abeg my Ogas and Madams, please done be angry with my lots of questions (No be exam o). As the country is, i don’t want to waste my little savings. I would appreciate constructive comments from everyone, especially those people who understand the abuja terrain and market.
Thank you

@OP You don't need all you listed up there ....firstly put the horse before the cart...not the other way round.
Buy a bike or two if you have the funds but it is ideal you start with one....then build your customer clientele with an aggressive online and offline advertisements or marketing of your logistics outfit.

I have a client based in Lagos(Lekki axis) that consulted my ET(Evaluation Team) for a paid all round setup tips and client boost consultation plus branding and she settled for the advise to start with a partnership dispathrider but after 4 months she now has 6 dispatch riders and bikes(new bikes) working for her......the most important thing is to get and build your clientele ....
Presently two(2) of her dispatch riders even proposed they'll be paying her #5k daily but will be in control of activities and she declined.

It's a profitable venture if you are ready.
