I'm about to setup my first system of 2 x 12v x 230Ah Genus tubular batteries with TriStar Mppt 60A, 1600w panels and 24v/2.5kva Prag Inverter or Ipower.

This system will majorly power freezer and fridge.

I intend to fix the second system of 2 x 12v x 230Ah Genus tubular batteries with Morningstar Mppt 45A 1200w panels and 1.5kva inverter soon.

This second system will take care of light load (lighting points and fans)

Gurus should please help me with the following questions:

1) Btw 2.5kva Prag and Ipower, which one has modern adjustable battery type selector switch/voltage setpoint which will match my Genus tubular batteries and cc?

2) Considering the panels size with Mppt 60A CC Max and the losses, do you think getting up to 2000w will be ok?

3) Who knows the ideal voltage setpoint of Genus tubular battery for adequate charging?

@ NiyiOmolyunade, is your Morningstar Mppt 60A still available?

Bros how about a a 120AH to 150AH LFP wink

Since it is between panels and CC, kúkú bypass the AC MCB by connecting the input wires from the panels into the same corresponding output wire screw socket on the MCB. That way, the current goes direct from the panels to CC and you can take your time to source for a proper DC MCN without creating for yourself an unwarranted "power holiday"
I considered that but there is this part of me that is scared of anything that may happen that may create a story that touches the depth of the heart. Also, Murphys law kept ringing in my head.
Funny enough, despite these issues, there have been days I got as much as 4Kwh as long as the sun isn't so so bright.

The hardship observed on this thread is proving that going solar offers even more gains in the Nigerian context. Anyway we can get a poll of how many people here use solar to cook and what their induction/electric cooker power ratings are like (for newcomers who might be interested)?

Few weeks ago that I came across 12.5kg for 6k was the time I already posted questions here and on course to include electric cookers (perhaps induction types) in my appliances.

Haba! Do they wantu kill Nigerians ni? Àbí is it a crime to be born Nigerian again?!

Has anyone come across this?

I cook with mine it's rated 1kw but I need something hotter the heat generated from my electric cooker is not as much as what I get from gas. Any suggestion for a hotter electric cooker will be good

Look at this man. cheesy.

Why would you procure something that significant and you have refused to inform us on this forum, an RE forum for that matter, or do a review? You know that many here will also be willing to latch onto that idea ńa.
