Cross, one of the housemates in the ongoing reality TV show, Big Brother Naija, popularly known as BBNaija, has revealed that he attempted taking his own life twice before joining the show.

He made this known on Friday during a diary session with Big Brother.

Cross, who was speaking on a task by Big Brother titled “Mental health” for presentation in subsequent show, urged the Nigerian health sector to take the issue of mental health seriously as a means of alleviating suicide attempts. [color=#d7e0c9]Catholic Prayers[/color]

The housemate blamed Nigerian parents for not being serious about their children’s mental health, expressing hope of doing his best when he becomes a father.

He said, “I have attempted to commit suicide twice but at the end of the day, I survived it.

“I think we need physicians in this country to be serious about the issue. Our parents are not really doing enough regarding talking to children to diagnose their mental health.

“I will be a father one day, maybe one or two years to come but I just hope that I give my children the best”.

Mental health is something that is rarely taken seriously on this side of the globe.

We have a lot of psychopaths and narcissists walking about, not excluding folks with PTSD, chronic depression, personality disorders, etc.

The worst part is that these individuals are unaware of their nature, making it even harder to seek help.

You hear stories of gruesome murder, and wonder how someone could get the nerve to smith with a kitchen knife.

You forgot to ask if these murderers are actually normal people. Alas, they are always diagnosed with one mental illness or the other.

If they had been confiscated earlier in one mental facility upon diagnose, that would save the society from mayhem.

If you come from a poor home, there's a huge chance you even have one or two mental illness you don't know about.

It could even explain why you're so damn lazy, or why you rarely get things done, or remain focus.

I believe if you understand your mental state, you can achieve anything you put your mind to.

Get a therapist, take care of your mind!

It has become a norm in this our present day Nigeria, most especially during this Buhari administration, alot of families are going through alot are people have been attempting suicide....
