There's something called the Petroleum Profit tax in Nigeria. You never learn. The petroleum industry is like other industries. It brings in taxes as well.

That is just Corporate Income Tax at a higher rate for oil companies - otherwise, you do not tax oil or minerals - because your gov owns all the oil - therefore you lease it out - and companies pay royalties - which more a lease than a tax.

No, it's not. Some oil taxes come in the form of Corporate income tax and others as PITA.
