Nollywood has seen some massive boost in recent years so they are churning out some good movies. They will surely get there.

What they need to do now is to talk to the various production houses to pay much attention to quality.

I know a good number of the production houses are doing well but some too are only interested in the money so it's business as usual for them.

Mind you, South Africans are winning more awards because they have the structures.
You guys are benefitting from the investments made in the past by your early movie makers and your Governments.

-Now there's money in Nigeria movie industry.
-They have the man power( Production houses, marketers, distributers, Actors etc).
-The structures there are not bad, all they need to do is to ensure some standards across board so they can limit the number of poor movies coming out from there.
-More funding
-And few other things

You are correct Nollywood needs to limit low quality films so it can be taken seriously, and also increase the box office centers although it may not be that necessary with introduction of Netflix distribution is easier

Nollywood also has high production look at wedding party, hotel hibiscus, one lagos night etc. I prefer European and American shows but there are still many good Nigerian shows

I've not yet come across those ones. It's just that the theme in your movies is so monotonous that people won't be looking forward to the next release because it might be the same as the last one.

When it comes to industry, I don't think u have a bubbling movie industry yet cos out of most of the roughly 250 movies released per year, only less than 50 originates from SA while some are co-produced with other nations.

Ghana movie industry is bigger than all East African countries combined.

@Kikuyu1 since you understand the nairobi underworld much better what are your thoughts on this. The story is from a few years back but has resurfaced again this weekend after some expose on Instagram that started off with some businessmen being exposed of taking part in wash wash.

Why did Uhunye have to go all the way to Dubai to clean his name/ apologize. I believe there are bigger names involved but nobody dare expose them lest they put their lives at risk.
