Voter apathy is an issue but still doesn't account for why the numbers are so low. In 2015 when people were so excited to vote the figures were shockingly low compared to 2011.

As per states tweaking their numbers to attract more federal allocation it still doesn't really add anything to the states. Some of us have suspected that the northern states especially inflate their figures but that hasn't benefited all this time because they are still relatively poorer than the southern states.

If you ask I would put our true population at around 180-190 don't think we have cracked 200m yet.

Let's use INEC voter registration numbers for the most part they use biometric voter register. Since 2011 northern states have had higher number of registered voters. If we say that one was manipulated they how come northern states also generally have higher number of voters?

So these things are neither here or there but personally I think manipulating numbers is a waste of time because history has shown it doesn't add any benefit to your state.

Actually if you think our population figures are inflated (which I agree with funny enough) then our telecom percentage numbers will be higher since the figures come straight from the telecom providers themselves and are immune from manipulation by the government.

South Africa has a way better internet infrastructure than you so please.

Your telecom figures don't make sense on so many levels.

1. Nairobi and Mombasa will probably account for a chunk of those figures how many people live in those cities?

2. Economically, Infrastructure and Electricity wise I don't know how you would be able to sustain above 40m subscribers which is what that figure is implying. Ghana that has stable electricity supply, better infrastructure and is richer than you don't pull such laughable stats.

This doesnt make sense. As we speak Kenya mobile pentration is at 110 percent. South Africa is 170 percent. Nigeria if indeed it was 200M people - would already be at 100 or even 110 percent like Kenya. If Nigeria was to get to south africa level...it would have 350M active mobile numbers.

The answer remains; in 1960s; Southern states started the rigging; increasing their population by 200 percent; while the northern had grown by 70 percent; the North cried foul; a repeat was done; they also inflated their to 200 percent;

All the rest of census have followed the 1960s stalemate - or agreed rigging;

So if true population of Nigeria was inflated from growth of 70 percent to 200 percent - then we can conclude - Nigeria population is way less - maybe 150m.

Solution is simple - Biometric registration like india or something like that.

Last I checked the latest cement consumption was like this Nigeria 18-20M; South Africa 13m; Kenya is 7M, Ghana is 4-5m

Africa being top construction in Africa - please stop smoking weed. EGYPT is far ahead (50M against 13m!). Nigeria is ahead of South Africa.
