The news of the massacre of Christians by Jews then spread to Rome and the backlash was almost instant with pogroms against Jews in Europe.

At the end, Jewish coin was able to get the Pope to raise a large army to root out the Muslims from Palestine. This is the first genesis of the Crusades.
