You have to also blame the Argentine players who lied about their travel history though. The Brazilian health authorities had actually tried enforcing their quarantine rules for people coming from "red" countries like the UK but Lo Celso and Romero kept claiming they had not been in the UK recently.

The rule in Brazil is that if you are coming from the UK you should quarantine for 14 days in a hotel room before moving around. Last i checked a football stadium is not a hotel room. Romero and Lo Celso had no right to be on that pitch as per the rules in place in Brazil and they had been warned about it BEFORE the match but they kept insisting they had not been in the UK in the 14 days prior to the match.
There was actually a big row in the Argentine hotel base BEFORE the match but they fought the health officials and boarded the bus to the stadium.

I am now hearing that Spurs plan to sanction Romero and Lo Celso for traveling without permission and contravening the rules agreed on by all Premier league clubs. Brazil played fair but the Argentines in typical fashion tried to finesse the system.

Messi said prior to fiasco that ensued on the pitch, there didn't get across to them. I guess each side is telling the story in a way that absolves them of any blame...Let's hope an independent investigation is carried out to ascertain what really happened...
