When you fail to meet the requirements that permit you to drive on Nigerian roads, note that you would be stopped by the appropriate road safety administration agency. There’s also a possibility your vehicle could be impounded and here’s why.

Many drivers on Nigerian roads usually get scared or angry when they come across FRSC officials on the highway. A number of times, such drivers are not even aware of the documents and items they ought to possess in case they are asked to provide them by the FRSC officials. Well, the FRSC has updated the list of items and documents they require from drivers stopped on the highway and you need to know what they are. This article presents the documents or items required by FRSC officials when they stop your car.

1. Driver’s licence

2. Proof of ownership

3. Insurance certificate

4. Certificate of roadworthiness

5. Vehicle license

6. C-caution sign

7. Fire extinguisher

8. Expiry dates on tires

9. Spare Tyre

10. Razor blade

11. Torchlight

12. First aid kit

13. Hydrolic

14. Extra Fan Belt

in the event of an accident, and you get stuck, if the seat belt gets jammed, you can cut it with the razor blade

Likewise, in the event of highway breakdown, youll need a razor or a knife to cut off a seatbelt from the rear seat to connect to another vehicle for towing.

It happened to me on a notorious Okene/Kabba express, I had to use my teeth and stones to cut the seatbelt, something a razor can do in just one minute,.
.. I spent 30mins cutting that shit off.
