The Taliban announced a hardline new caretaker government for Afghanistan on Tuesday, with veteran Taliban member Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund as interim prime minister and Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, a co-founder of the militant group, as his deputy.

Mullah Yaqoob, one of the deputy leaders of the Taliban since 2016, will act as caretaker defense minister.

Sirajuddin Haqqani, head of the Haqqani network, a US-designated terror group aligned with the Taliban and al Qaeda, has been appointed acting interior minister. Haqqani has a $5 million US bounty on his head.

The announcement of key figures in the caretaker government comes weeks after the Taliban seized control of Afghanistan, and presents the first picture of how their leadership of the country will begin to take shape.

Reports were rife that the Taliban Government extended invitation to six (6) Countries: China, Pakistan, Iran, Russia, Qatar and Turkey to its formal announcement.

These are tyrants, not muslims.
The problem with terrorism is some group of tyrants and fanatics believes they are the chosen one by God to commit mass murder in the name of God.
The other problem is, some other ones have this ‘See no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil’ attitude on terrorism.
At the end of the day, as long as people believes their religion is the only true religion and all others are false, there will be no world peace, no end to terrorism and all anti-terrorism effort will be futile.

Trump would have left since May.

And most Americans were already tired of the war. One of the many reasons Trump was elected was because a majority of the American population wanted an end to this war. Too many dead people. Too many dead Americans for a country that is still unable to fight for itself.
