Arda Turan will disagree. He sent Iva for hip replacement.

Given Iva was not relevant for the full decade and had seen some decline by 2012, I go with Azpi.

If we expand the timeframe to 2 decades, I take Iva over Azpi - when you add goal threat, Iva steps into another dimension from Azpi
grin grin lol.
one time iva was dubbed show me your number

Lol.. Without Ivanovic's goal Vs Napoli we probably wouldn't even be talking about a Chelsea Vs Bayern 2012 Champions League final
We are talking about a right back and you're talking about goal .......maybe if he had done his primary duty by defending in the first place,we wouldn't need his consolation goal to send us through the next round.

Not only Arda Turan, every decent player/winger that he came up against took him to the cleaners in one way or the other.

Salah at Basel
Assaidi in stoke city loss
Dimaria when we drew at old Trafford
Let's not forget the two goals he gifted michu in the Carling cup against Swansea when he was asked to play from the middle.
Who was found wanting for Eto's goal at the bridge in 2010 ?

Think of any goal we conceded in any major game and the majority came from him at the right back. People just look at his physique and assume he was all in all for us .

Talk your own and don't wait for ibi.me to confirm something before you agree. Did you wait for him to open his eyes before you open your own eyes to watch the game on the TV ?

He said what I was gonna say, hence I said 'as Ibime said'. I didn't (and don't) wait for anybody to confirm shit. I evaluated both and reached a conclusion which was the same as what he posted.

The reference was harmless. No need to bitch about it.

⛔BREAKING ⛔ : Following Chelsea's refusal to let Thiago Silva feature in the world cup qualifiers for his National team, he is set to miss two fixtures for the club.

The Brazilian Football Association has asked FIFA to block their national players from featuring in the Premier League this weekend.

Ahead of the international break, Premier League clubs voted ‘reluctantly but unanimously’ to prevent their players from traveling for matches which would be held in countries that are on the UK’s red list [ for COVID-19].

Any player who travelled to a red list country during the international break would be required to isolate for a 10-day period at a hotel once they returned to the UK, which meant they would miss at least two fixtures for their club.

Brazil’s FA has now made a move to stop the players who were not allowed to travel to South America from playing in the Premier League for the next round of fixtures.

Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Leeds United have all been told by FIFA that a five-day restriction is in place for their Brazilian players who were initially called up but did not turn up.

The decision means that Thiago Silva will be absent for Chelsea’s two upcoming games against Aston Villa and Zenit.

Other players affected by this trend include Fabinho, Fred, Gabriel Jesus, Firminho, Ederson and Alisson.

Brazil no dey joke. They are looking out for their own interest. They didn't ban Richarlison because Everton allowed him to join them for the Olympics. One good turn deserves another.

These guys no dey carry football play. Same way they arrested those 4 Argentinian criminals on the pitch.

So that means James and Thiago Silva are out against Aston villa..Chalobah will definitely play this weekend and I think maybe we could also see CHO

Pedro had a better end product. Just saying though
Pedro had just one great season with us, and 2 good and manageable ones. You can't compare that to Willian. who helped us finish top four, was our player of the year this season Hazard and Costa flopped, had other amazing seasons, though he showed his talent some times, he was consistent more than Pedro.

over 2 decades? Really, but let focus on just the one mention because Ivanovic joined Chelsea in 2008, and one decade ago was 2011, so you suggest his best period was only he first 3 seasons or what?

I recall Ivanovic having a poor season in 2016 before he left, 2013 struggles as well, but which player no dey get dip, or poor seasons. You would pick Cesar that played as a lb and barely a RB over Ivanovic but none of you are removing Ashley Cole from that eleven that had barely a good season that 2011 not the seasons that followed before he left. Yes he was good but he wasn't consistently up top. Yet it is okay.

Iva was really good ...mehn.

Azpi is good in defence no doubt...but I will take prime iva over azpi any day.

Iva was much more a goal threat aside being a great defender

Ivanovic had many game winning contributions for Chelsea. Who can forget the 2 goals at Anfield in UCL quarterfinals in 2009, helping us overcome for the first time a team who had been a constant obstacle to our glory. Goal against Napoli to bring us back and winner in a Europa League final against Benfica where we were dominated. Only goal to defeat Liverpool in 2015 League Cup semi which we went on to win. Only goal to defeat Man City at Etihad in 2014, only goal away at PSG in UCL.

Ivanovic has too many big and memorable moments which puts him in a different category to Azpi, and what he did before Azpi arrived puts him ahead of Azpi, although admittedly it became too easy to wind his waist from 2012 season onward

Next summer is the summer of signing midfielders

Kamara
Tchouameni
Rice
Bellingham
Saul*
Paul Pogba
Bissouma
Kessie

The few possible ones, with teams like Chelsea, Liverpool, City, Madrid, United looking to add midfielders next summer
Ibime which midfielder or midfielders should Chelsea sign

winning goal against napoli in our 4-1 triumph at the bridge.

Iva brings more to the team than azpi.

Declan rice mehn i don't really know.
what does tuchel really want sef. Declan rice recycles possession, short simple passes and holds the ball well. But does he break the opponent's attack?? We really need a whole new upgrade to J5

He should talk better thing. Some of us have already factored in penalties into our decision to buy Lukaku in FPL
