That one na big task, una no hear say Western education or anything na haram . My friend they can't be liberated unless more and more of them start mass migrating like the Southerners. Even the ones wey relocate to Lagos to hustle, you can see small positive changes in their thinking and lifestyle compared to the ones wey remain, it's a sad story mehn.

They can only be liberated if their leaders want it. See, the Northern elites are much aware of what would happen if the masses among them are enlightened. It would affect the elites, most especially politically because it's gonna be difficult to keep deceiving them.

Most Northern indigenes and residents are illiterates and they are very gullible. The leaders can tilt them anytime, anywhere to any direction. You can't compare Southernern leaders to their Northern counterparts because the Southerners are always approached differently because of the high literacy level. You can't just tilt an average Southerner because there's high probability he's as educated as you (the leader).

Northern leaders are their biggest demons just as our leaders are our biggest demons as citizens also.

Forced can mean anything, it can mean insisting, it can mean disown, it can mean anything so educate yourself and be specific.

I hope someone would be wise enough to free this poor girl from facing any form of punishment using "self defense" as her reason for stabbing him.
