More than half of Nigeria’s VAT comes from Lagos Speaking at the parley between the federal government and progressive governors forum (PGF) in Abuja on Tuesday, Adeosun said the 87 percent of Nigeria’s VAT is derived from four states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). In other words, only 13 percent of Nigeria’s VAT comes from 32 other states in the federation. According to her no country in the world with high tax compliance rate is poor, and no rich country has a low tax compliance rate. They’re always quick to tell a little part of the story....the outcome of decades of practising a political-economy that has disproportionately favoured Lagos, Kano and Kaduna! Inspite of all this, Igbos have still managed -mainly through self-help and private initiative- to do well in comparison with other regions! These bastards have held us down and sustained the Fulani hegemony, enthroned since the late 60s, then they turn around to talk of comparative charts, surveys and the like that they think shows them in good light while disparaging Igbos! Check out all national HDIs, and you’d see just how resilient Igbos are despite the handicaps these evil and bigoted vermin have placed in our way! The major reason i want Igbos to secede from Nigeria is because of this senseless hate, bad-belle, envy and suspicion these groups have for Ndigbo! It’s just choking!! Much of the VAT from Lagos, FCT etc comes from Igbo owned businesses. Bear in mind that most successful Igbo people do not live in Igboland permanently, they visit often, but their businesses are always outside Igboland because they are Republicans and developers. May we pray for the Igbo man to always invest more on his soil, so that VAT will increase for South East State Governments to have excess resources to develop the SE.
