the case of Lagos can be said to be its proximity to a 'functioning' seaport. And Abuja being the Capital, you have the case of expats staying there, thus chance of investments are high.

While some regions continue to drive away both local and foreign investors with their actions and inactions.....i.e. Activities of IPOB, BANDITS , BOKOHARAM and those that keep quiet for fear, politics and bigotry

maybe first, Nigeria should start by decentralizing the ports, and we will see how far.

If Onitsha had a viable seaport, Anambra would have 'exploded' by now.

Ndị Anambra should not let the debtors (Andy Ubah and Ifeanyi Uba) smell Agu-Awka

That might be part of the reasons but not all of it, sales, proximity to raw material and market, peace and security where the investment could be secured are factors working for Lagos as well as other southwest states.

True to some sense. I don't know what you mean by proximity to raw material. But what favours Lagos is expats see it at the commercial city. And Lagos is not safer or worst than some southern cities.

For example, If Onitsha and Aba could get a working seaport......

Always trying to take glory where there is non. Lagos and Abuja were polls apart and it was for a reason. Only Anambra deserve praise here considering it isn't Nigeria's political or economic capital yet it pulled such weight. Even Ogun that is feeding off Lagos didn't attract up to half of what Anambra got.

What makes Anambra position more remarkable is the fact that it isn't oil producing until few days ago. Yet it got more than double of any other state aside federal centers of Abuja and Lagos. Again, Anambra also leads in local inflows/investments!

Na wa for this afonja people and empty chest beating over rubbish. SMH.

It seems like Illiteracy is your problem. Anambra falls within IPOB region yet it got 4 times of what Ogun state received despite it feeding from Lagos.

This ridiculous attempts of trying to hide behind Lagos is quite shameful. Lagos and Abuja are federal centers and no tribe nor ethnicity can lay claim to it.
