Jokes apart tho, Nairaland reduced the quality and there is absolutely nothing wrong with the edge detection,the original file size is 8Mb, reduced it to 3MB.

To be honest the edge detection is not as I expected. Look at the hair area it is very visible there.

But overall the picture is good even though I would prefer a more subtle blur.

It got the hair correct, Nairaland algorithm has tampered with the pic after I've reduced the size of the pic...which app can I use to resize my pics,the one I use makes my pics blurry a little after compressing.

As for the hair it blends with the blur at the edges, hence my observation.

I just don't fancy portraits like this. The crop look makes portraits look like, you guessed right, PORTRAITS. I actually love the edge detection... Smooth! Much better than pixel phones. Pixel makes portraits too obvious. Sharp edge detection, albeit very accurately done

I agree with you on the crop,portrait pictures taken with telephoto lens always look better.
