If you had carefully scrutinized Busquet like this yesterday, you'd notice that he no where to be found when those shot and rebound shot where taken. Barca trying to press into mildfield to cover for him is the why they are too exposed at the back.

football has gone beyond having just primary role and sticking to it alone. Even managers want defensive duty and good link up play from their strikers now unlike the days of Rashidi yekini.
Plus, if your primary isn't working so well for you today, don't be uber useless to the team.
That's why lazy players always seem to get bundled out immediately they fail their primary role for the day and contributes nothing else to the team apart from casually strolling around and forming little activities.


When you recover ball quickly in opponents half and kept playing in that half for a good portion of the game, it always looks like that opponent parked the bus. But in actual sense, it's your midfielders that are doing wonders.

Not like the Zenit players were passing ball to us whenever they get it from us so we can play while they watch, are they?

One midfielders can't give penetrative passes to break down stubborn defences and their switch of play is almost nonexistent, relying on crosses from wingbacks alone won't do us any good against packed defences.
