Singapore has a strategic position and the leader that put them in that place Lee Kuan Yew was a socialist so your argument is dead and for South Korea, America gave them billions and strategic trade agreements.

Oga look at you deflecting. I’m still waiting for Madagascar indigenous covid-19 vaccine. cheesy focus and hand in your assignment!
The deflection is coming from you, Oga.
Tell me: is Cuba now better than Singapore and south Korea because it made a covid vaccine and Singapore and south Korea did not?

That's your assignment. wink

What? Singapore was, is and will always be a capitalist country. grin
Even the government calls its involvement in the private sector: STATE CAPITALISM

And what is the problem with America giving South Korea billions of dollars? Didn't North Korea and Cuba also receive help from the Soviets?

Did I say it was a problem? North Korea and Cuba certainly haven't been receiving billions from the soviets

This isn’t proving the point you think it is babe. If a poor country with less resources is able to invent a vaccine, and a wealthier richer country isn’t . That says a lot about socialism lol. By the way most of Cuba economic problems were caused by America sanctions which is beyond their own control. You thought you said something lol

Socialism is like the moderate guy against extreme right aka capitalists an extreme left ak communism.but we also must agtee that it comes indifferent shades.
It's naturally for the two sides to gravitate towards the center

Exactly there's different spectrums of socialism leaning towards capitalism or communism but ultimately both sides will come around.

North Korea isn't a good example and you aren't helping the cause of MOP he's agreed to join your overly communist outlook isn't helping to bring in more supporters you need to become less radical let's focus on achieving pragmatic socialism like Michael Okpara proposed and initiated which achieved 12% economic growth rate for 4 years in a row and for the other 3 years 8% growth rate that's what we need not even China has been able to achieve communism no country has ever been communist in history and there's no single example where communism has worked so let's focus on achieving socialism and developing our nation.

Yes the middle ground works; have private sector run on capitalism; allowing the brutal market economy to pick winners; and then have public sector funded by taxing the private sector providing communism like ideals of an equal society. Once the right mix if found - the country can have sustainable growth and development - like most Scandavanian countries have achieved.

What we need is nordic model..

The Nordic model comprises the economic and social policies as well as typical cultural practices common to the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden).[1] This includes a comprehensive welfare state and multi-level collective bargaining[2] based on the economic foundations of social corporatism,[3][4] with a high percentage of the workforce unionized and a sizable percentage of the population employed by the public sector (roughly 30% of the work force in areas such as healthcare, education, and government).[5] Although it was developed in the 1930s under the leadership of social democrats,[6] the Nordic model began to gain attention after World War II.[7]

he Nordic model has been characterized as follows:[23]

An elaborate social safety net, in addition to public services such as free education and universal healthcare[23] in a largely tax-funded system.[24]
Strong property rights, contract enforcement and overall ease of doing business.[25]
Public pension plans.[23]
High levels of democracy as measured by the Democracy Index.[26][27]
Free trade combined with collective risk sharing (welfare social programmes and labour market institutions) which has provided a form of protection against the risks associated with economic openness.[23]
Little product market regulation. Nordic countries rank very high in product market freedom according to OECD rankings.[23]
Low levels of corruption.[26][23] In Transparency International's 2019 Corruption Perceptions Index, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden were ranked among the top 10 least corrupt of the 179 countries evaluated.[28]
High trade union density and collective bargaining coverage.[29] In 2019, trade union density was 90.7% in Iceland, 67.5% in Denmark, 65.2% in Sweden, 58.8% in Finland, and 50.4% in Norway; in comparison, trade union density was 16.3% in Germany and 9.9% in the United States.[30] In 2018, collective bargaining coverage was 90% in Iceland, 88.8% in Finland (2017), 88% in Sweden, 82% in Denmark, and 69% in Norway; in comparison collective bargaining coverage was 54% in Germany and 11.6% in the United States.[31] The lower union density in Norway is mainly explained by the absence of a Ghent system since 1938. In contrast, Denmark, Finland and Sweden all have union-run unemployment funds.[32]
A partnership between employers, trade unions and the government, whereby these social partners negotiate the terms to regulating the workplace among themselves, rather than the terms being imposed by law.[33][34] Sweden has decentralised wage co-ordination while Finland is ranked the least flexible.[23] The changing economic conditions have given rise to fear among workers as well as resistance by trade unions in regards to reforms.[23] At the same time, reforms and favourable economic development seem to have reduced unemployment, which has traditionally been higher. Denmark's Social Democrats managed to push through flexicurity reforms in 1994 and 1996.
The United Nations World Happiness Reports show that the happiest nations are concentrated in Northern Europe. The Nordics ranked highest on the metrics of real GDP per capita, healthy life expectancy, having someone to count on, perceived freedom to make life choices, generosity and freedom from corruption.[35] The Nordic countries place in the top 10 of the World Happiness Report 2018, with Finland and Norway taking the top spots.[36]
The Nordic countries received the highest ranking for protecting workers rights on the International Trade Union Confederation 2014 Global Rights Index, with Denmark being the only nation to receive a perfect score.[37]
Sweden at 56.6% of GDP, Denmark at 51.7%, and Finland at 48.6% reflect very high public spending.[38] One key reason for public spending is the large number of public employees. These employees work in various fields including education, healthcare and for the government itself. They often have greater job security and make up around a third of the workforce (more than 38% in Denmark). Public spending in social transfers such as unemployment benefits and early-retirement programmes is high. In 2001, the wage-based unemployment benefits were around 90% of wage in Denmark and 80% in Sweden, compared to 75% in the Netherlands and 60% in Germany. The unemployed were also able to receive benefits several years before reductions, compared to quick benefit reduction in other countries.[citation needed]
Public expenditure for health and education is significantly higher in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden in comparison to the OECD average.[39]
Overall tax burdens as a percentage of GDP are high, with Denmark at 45.9% and both Finland and Sweden at 44.1%.[40] The Nordic countries have relatively flat tax rates, meaning that even those with medium and low incomes are taxed at relatively high levels.[41][42

Listen I needed to be rude to that mumu cause he is being a dick. North Korea is a good example, it isn’t a good example to you because you’ve completely internalized imperialist propaganda. I know communism has never been tried or done. The closest we have had was socialism. But you as a self proclaimed Marxist shouldn’t be talking down on communism. Communism hasn’t been tried not because it’s “unrealistic” and ”doesn’t work”. No it hasn’t been fully actualized because of imperialist aggression from the west. Do you think it would be smart for the USSR to become a moneyless, classless, and stateless society during a fucking world war. I hate how you ignore context like this. I hate how you frame your argument that China has abandoned communism because it “doesn’t work.” Guy, they are in the transitionary stages of socialism. You have to fully achieve socialism first before you move to communism. That’s how this stuff works. China’s ruling party is call themselves communist because that’s the political ideology they’re trying to achieve. These things takes time. cheesy
